A few days ago I moved to a new school, but I only went there for a day as I had really bad flu. I think I will be better for tomorrow though. I feel really alone becuase I dont know anyoe there and I am finding it hard to make friends. I made a few aqantainces on my first day who I sat and had lunch with, but I fear they might have forgotten about me becuase I was only there for one day. I didnt talk much on monday becuase i was feeling ill, but thats not the real me. They probaly think I am really quiet, shy and uninteresting all the time. But im not. So, how do i get back on track and make friends? The girls who i aquaninted are the popular crowd and so of course are mean and bitchy but i can put up with that. How should i win them over while still being myself? I am not good at starting convosations that well.

I am 61, I work 33hrs a week to enable me to survive on my pension. No problem, I enjoy my job. My partner does not work, and has not done so for 2 1/2 years. I pay all bills, his money £54 pw goes on baccy and beers. Every night he is asleep from about 6.30p.m. till 9p.m. Consequentley I am on my own, every evening! Am I being a mug?

i'v made lots of new friends this year,one of them i ended up likeing he found out soo i stopped liking him.Now everyone is calling me a flirt, but i don't know how to flirt.(i don't talk to guys that much(i was shy)) he's still my friend but when i go to his locker just to say hi he calls this other kid over to "get rid of me" but when its just me and him he acts 1million times different (writing notes to him in class, caring about what book i read,etc) its weird. why is this happening????

My boyfriend and I broke up recently after being together a year. He said he just needs to be alone for a while b/c he doesn't know what he wants or needs and that he thinks he still loves me but he's not sure and thats why he needs to think. I was definietly smothering him, thats my fault. But he told me he wanted to stay in contact and still go to n.y with me for a day trip we planned in April. he also said he wants to go to dinner with me friday. he said he would email me today to check in about Friday and he did. The email was pretty to the point, general "are we still on friday, hope your doing well..." so we are having dinner Friday. Is this relationship salvagable if I learn to back off and be more independent> He's a very independent person which is one big reason we aren't together. I still love him and want to work things out, we are great together. Help!!

omg. when ever i'm on yahoo answers i always see something like...white women in the usa are trashy..or women are sluts...women deserve to be abuse...it gets me so mad! First off, why do you say women are trahy because they live in the usa. I get so mad?!! STOP SAYING THAT BECAUSE I'M NOT!!!!GOSH! and why do you say girls are sluts? because we wear what we like?? The guy gets all the glory the more he can score, While the girl can do the same and yet you call her a whore? guys say girls get respected more. No? respected for our bodies not what we say. plus you don't get respect at ALL if your an ugly fat women.I just want to know. why do MOST, not all, but MOST guys think that girls are just sex objects. This girl visited here from England. She is 18 and I like her alot. I cannot stop thinking about her since she has left( it will be a month in a few days). When I first saw her I didnt think much of her because I knew she smoked and at first she didnt seem attractive to me. She wanted me to come with her though so to be nice I went( we went to New York). That day changed my life. From then on I always wanted to be with her going over to see her as much as possible because she would be leaving in a few weeks. When we talk she smiles and laughs, she talked about some things you wouldnt normally tell someone you just met, she mentioned a exboyfriend( do you think it was to let me know she doesnt have one?), we always had fun together just talking to each other. It was so much fun just being with her. I felt like we could just talk for hours( sometimes we would). We have so much in common. She had asked me to go to the movies with her that first day we met, but with other things happening

im A FAN OF PINK..i have bot pink things..purses..shoes..sunglasses reading glasses .. all in pink.. and ofcourse clothes... wow why did it bother me that ... my brother in law purchased only pink clothes for his wife the other day we all "had' to go shopping. ...

He was never a pink fan... nor is she .

now .. why do i feel funny about it ?

My fiance and I announced our engagement last summer and have been planning the wedding since then. Over the last eight or so months his mother has put up a lot of resistence about the marriage (though nothing directly to me seeing as how she is exceptionally passive-agressive and obsessed with manners). We've struggled through it, still in love, and still want to get married regardless of her thoughts on the matter (the rest of our family and friends are wholly supportive). The issue is that lately she's completely changed gears and is super sweet to me and has been talking about how 'excited' she is. The problem is that I don't trust her (she said some REALLY negative things about me and our marriage, including that I was only marrying her son so I could get pregnant) and I'm having a really hard time warming up to her. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?

I have been married for 11 years. I have four beautiful children. My husband has treated me badly for most of our marriage. I recently started seeing a man who is going through much of the same things as me. (we both want out fo our current marriages) He has children also. Even before we slept together our relation ship was beautiful and it continues to grow everyday. We knew eachother when we were younger and have always had a special connection. I truely love him. Now I am pregnant...just barely...I want to tell him. Is there a romantic yet practical way of telling him given our situation? Neither of us was planning on more children....however...abortion is completely out of the question.
we know we will be together no matter what......this just is something we didn't plan on. any advice?

My ex broke up with me and said that she wanted to be friends and that she doesn't want to lose me. I said that ain't gonna happen, we can't be friends anymore. It just won't be the same. She also added that she doesn't know what to do if i find a new gf. Eventually we broke up because she wanted to.
She got a new boyfriend later whom i met.
She tells me that she still loves me...and that she doesn't know if she loves her new boyfriend. He doesn't treat her the same as i do. I treated the way she wanted a guy to treat her. We both have an opposite personality. She knows that i want to work whatever problem tha caused the breakup. She said she's so confused and scared.
I told her to focus in school and one day you'll know what she want..if it's me just come back to me if i'm still waiting.

Two days down later, my friends ex girlfiend called me...saying that she misses her ex boyfriend and is also in the state of confusion. I'm was like omg and us four used to talk on the phone.
