so first u glorify the person, think they are some kind of god, have a little crush on them, then everything suddenly turns to envy and jealousy when you realise they are competing in the same realms as you. how can i beat the jealousy i have towards this guy i know? he is intelligent and has great social skills. im intelligent too but a bit deficient on the social skills. i want to know how can i overcome my feelings..because i just feel so down sometimes because of him and everybody praising him all the time. maybe because im not in the crowd praising him anymore but in the crowd challenging him...help with your suggestions

Jealousy is caused by you feeling inadequate.
What you can do is take a microscope over the things that cause you to feel inadequate.
Then, take actions, however small, towards eliminating those inadequacies. If one of them is the fact that you feel your social skills are lacking, find out exactly what is lacking in your skills and improve them.
Just takes a little time and patience on your part. You can do it.

well jealousy is the evil that trys to overtake anyone. What someone needs to realize first off is that you shouldnt try to be like anyone else just be yourself. Noone is perfect but the man up above!! The insecurity is someones own downfall in life. Being insecure is brought upon someone by the actions of someone else, There are alot of people who love to cause someone to feel worthless when in fact thet are the ones who start out being insecure with themselves!! Noone should ever feel jealous over someone else's life. Always remember two things in life which are the inner beautyof someone is far greater thanthe outer beauty and you cant buy love!!

Well i don't know if i'm the right person to answer to your question because i'm too jealous too....i know how u feel....you think that he doesn't like u and he doesn't love u anymore...he is always with other guys...especially girls and u feel he is neglecting u....all the girls make jokes with him....etc....etc...
Oh God...i haven't found a certain solution to this problem but i'm trying hard...i think the key is to convince yourself that u are the only person he loves and wants to be with...all the others are just friends...also make him understand that u feel uncomfortable with this situation but don't exaggerate...things will become worse in this way... Well good luck!! I wish i could also get over my jealousy.

Take gifts for him whenever there is an occassion and always congratulate him whenever he deserves. And always believe that you have your place and he has his in this world and no one can take anybody else's place. Whatever is meant for you will certainly come to you and whatever is for him no one else can have that from him. Meeting him with good gesture infact helps you kill your jealousy. Keep trying and you will win. One more important thing. Always praise him at his back (means when he is not present) and you will feel light and satisfied.

Just stop focusing on him. Instead of obsessing over how wonderful this guy is, work on improving yourself and the things you don't like about yourself. There will always be someone better, so there's no sense in worrying about that. Just work on making yourself the best person you can be.

There isn't a point to being jealous in the first place. What is it going to accomplish if you were praised? It wouldn't make your accomplisments any better or any less. If you are jealous of a guy that you like, you are making it pretty difficult to like him for who he is, not what he does.

Being secure with yourself and who you are and what you're about takes care of jealousy. It is human to have some now and then, however, the above should hold true.
