I never had a view on this until last year, I have only been in two relationships of more than two years and we both had a good income so I did not care. However when I was living in Vietnam I discovered that in 90% of cases men hand over all their income to their wife and the wife just allows them pocket money each day. Culturally any woman who does not have control of all family income is seen as weak whilst her guy is seen as mean. I think this is very sound and sensible as many men waste money on drinking, other women or gambling (just like a lot of guys here). I wonder what other women think about this way of managing finances. Does anyone follow this or a similar model and if so what does your husband or partner think of it?

Alot of guys look at me, like onces i entered a store and there were 3 guys there and they all started looking when i entered and then one of the girls said "what happened, why did you stop?" and then she looked at me and was like ohh.. and then the guy was said to her "when you look like that, everybody looks at you..." and the girl said "yea lucky girl and started laughing. I don't know if they were talking about me or my mom who is 50 lol. But nobody ever asks me out i have never been asked out. Even though people tell me im really pretty why is this?
but i think im really ugly because when i turn my webcam on my face looks really really messed up like crooked but not in mirros its like im hidious yet people think im attractive are they all blind?

My ex boyfriend and i first met at a football game and after that day we used to talk a whole bunch. But then we decided to date so we tried it and it lasted a week. He broke up with me the day that i saw him with a girl but he says that it wasn't him and he said only dated me for a bet. We stopped talking after that then we started again. We dated another time because i gave him a second chance. And it lasted for another week. It was kinda neutral when we broke up because our relationship was going down hill. We stopped talking after that happened and then talked again and then we dated again for another week but, i broke up with him because he didn't talk to me for like 3 days for no good reason. I've been trying to get him out of my head and get over him but its hard. He's even in my dreams. I don't know how to get over him and our relationships never work. Plus his friends hate me and my friends hate his. Do you have any suggestions on how to get over him?

well there is this boy i like at college. he has noticable cheekbones, perfect full lips, tousled messy blond hair, long sweet eyelashes, and a good body (6 pack and everything). (he looks like Alex Rider in the stormbreaker movie). he is smart and funny. he sounds perfect doesnt he? well he gets teased everyday at school, because his eyes are purple. i think i have a crush on him, but i cant tell my friends because they will laugh because he is a 'freak' according to them all.
what do i do? he tried contact lenses, but it didnt help because they kept annoying him and falling out.
i am being totally serious; i think maybe he has a slight ginetic problem, but the only thing wrong with him is the eyes. everything else is normal.

I'm 27 and on Medical Disability right now for depression/mental illness. I'm working very hard to try to build a life for myself and I really want to have relationships, but am finding it difficult to meet people who are my age. I started going to church about a month and a half ago and also have started volunteering, but of course, people my age are working so the people I volunteer with mainly are retired. I've also searched through newspapers looking for things in my area that I could do like clubs or community classes, but it seems that everything out there is either for senior citizens, kids/teens or Moms (like Moms Clubs). I'm going to join my church's Young Adult's Sunday School class, but is there anything else out there that I could do?

Okay here is more detals one the whole thing.
first, were homeschooled and I see her once a week.
second, I have asked her if i liked her and she said no.
third, when she found out that I liked her she told her best friend
(my friend also) to tell me " i don't care if you like me just don't ask me out"
Now you might think that it's hopeless but, all of this happend like 6 months
ago, and she talks messages me on myspace alot ( not hate mail).
Now she want's to ask me a question and not to tell anyone else.

We can be in the same house and don't speak at each other. He will go out and come in late but never call and says I am being stupid. No matter what I say to the kids, I am wrong. Some days we seems more like roommates. Don't get me wrong, I love him but I think I am falling out of love with him.

Hey Everyone,

I have been single since my ex girlfriend became a lesbian after years of denial! Been a few years now!

I have a big group of friends and I am the only single one out of the lot, I never meet anyone and when I do we are just "friends" or totally blow me off!

Cinema, Meals, Trips Out are always in couples. It has got to the point when I am really down about it as people now think that I am gay because I have been single for so long!

I have put some weight on and I have a stutter which makes things worse, also I am quite small for my age - only 5foot 5inches!

No girls never come up to me never but they do to my friends, im not really ugly or to die for attractive either but what is wrong with me. I'm a nice guy, like romantic things and I am training to be a nurse. All the girls think it is sweet and all of the girls I know are just friends.

Sorry to be on a downer but what am I doing wrong? Anybody got any advice?

his name is tyler he wont leave my alone he keeps on laying his head on mu shoulder and stuff like that and when i try not to sit by him i end up having to because there is know where else to sit. he knows who my boyfriend is and he told me i should brake up with him and i was like no and he keeps on telling me how much he still likes me and stuff.

For me I had slept with a older married guy from 17 until late 2005. I then had a serious family crisis and had to go and live overseas for several months whilst my father (his business contact but never aware of our relationship) tried to rob all I had worked for. Since I came back to fight for what is mine this guy was useless, first he gave me money each month and then broke off contact. I was mortified after all I gave him even though we had an open relationship.
I have always punished boyfriends who have crossed me, typicaly with spankings, but for this guy (I never spanked him as he was a perfect lover) I just feel so hurt and angry. I cannot get him out my mind yet I feel fire burning in my heart. If I tell his wife about us he will loose a lot but I am torn.

or tell the truth evan if you know it hurts?

My mum adores my sisster and think they have a close bond but the truth is my sisster is always saying horrible things about her. My mum does not see her much (around once a year) as my sisster emigrated from UK to Canada.

My sisster just wants her to visit so she can babysit her children! Last year when my mum went my sisster was saying to me that our mum was tight as she didn t pay for everything they did i know that my mum went over with $3000 and come home with around $750.

I don t know whether to leave my mum thinking that she is perfect or tell her the truth.

It realy hurts me how someone can be that nasty to there mother and I am scared the longer it goes on the worse it will be if she does find out and will she be mad i didn t tell her ?
