We're both adults and I thought the days of her talking down to me might be over but I guess not. I'm 24 and very independent, yet every time I hang out with her she is awful. If I bite a nail she snaps at me to knock it off. If I ask her to clarify something she's talking about she snips "Would you let me finish?". She gets mad if I eat things that crunch (even though I close my mouth). She yells at me if I say something even slightly negative. If we go somewhere and someone asks me a question (like a receptionist) she starts to answer for me. She treats me like a baby and I'm so sick of it. I know I should stand up for myself but I end up just getting mad and being quiet and then she yells at me for that. She also cuts me down all the time telling me that being shy is weird, I need more friends, I'm too down on myself, I won't make it in the career I want, etc. Yet she claims she's all I have and I am all she has so we should stick together. She makes me depressed... help

I was seeing this girl for four months and she told me that she had broken up with her boy friend but one day her boyfriend proposed to her and she said yes. She never told him about me because she was going out with him the whole time should I tell him what she is really like. Or just let the poor guy find out the hard way. He has no clue or does he?

I was reading old questions and found the question regarding dating an ex that had cheated on the man. I ask, why would you want to date someone that cheated on you? You say that you have a relationship with a wonderful woman, why would you risk this relationship to go back to something that you have already experienced that was bad for you? Wouldn't you be cheating on this woman that you are already in a relationship with? What makes you better than your ex if you do this to the woman that you are already in a relationship with? Is there a future with the woman that you are having a relationship with? Don't you think this is very unfair to the woman you are having the relationship with? Don't you think that she will be hurt? I think you need to be honest with yourself, the woman you are having a relationship with, and your ex. How many relationships has your ex been in, and how many relationships has this other woman been in? Pick stability and trust. You'll be happier.

I know he likes me, cause he smiles every time somebody says my name and he wants to keep all of the notes that me or one of my friends send to him or one of his friends, and he keeps looking at me. Today I finally had the courage to write a note to him and i got one of my friends to give it to him. My friend said that it was from me. she told me that he smiled and he went into the locker room. He told her no, but I know he likes me!!! I think the only reason he dosent amit it is because he is "popular". What should I do.
He told my friend that he wouldent go out with me today. I felt embarrased so i went into the locker room and cried alittle, not alot. i dont think he knows i cried thats good isent it? But I really like this guy. im in 7th grade. What do i do? Plese help me!!! Quick!!! Oh and i gave him a note the other day and he read it under the lunch table, does he like me and he just is embarased of me or what? but then me and my friend could see him mouth move, he asked for a peice of paper and nobody gave him any!!! and yester day he wasent there, i think he went out of time do u think he will remember to give me a note?

I'm a very quite and shy person and its hard for me to talk to and meet people. I won't go out to parties/club a lone. By me being so shy and quite when people assume that i'm mean or stuck up but i just can't open up to so freely i've had this problem all my life.

I am 35. When I was 18 this guy tried to rape me and I screamed like a maniac and he ran. We were at a mutual friends party and I went off to get some fresh air when he approached me (I know, dumb to be alone). The long and short of it is he tried to rape me and I did the right thing and screamed like a crazy woman until he ran away.

I went to a new restaurant tonight and he was the waiter. I told my husband (new news to him, by the way... i have never mentioned or thought about it for our 15 years of marriage. Maybe I blocked it? )

The short and the long of this question is why did I give in to my son's (14 yrs) questions about it? He asked why I was so weird at dinner - I told him over and over it was nothing he needed to be concerned with, my husband agreed. But in the end I told him that the guy waiting on us was someone,when I was much younger, tried to have his way with me. I told him a little about my fight (I won, did not get raped). I feel like I have scarred him.Now?

The week before last everything between us seemed fine. Well it was usual which means he came over once during the week on his off day at the usual 11:00 pm and we talked on the phone everyday and he even dropped by Fri night to pick up some stuff I had got him. Then Sat morning I phoned him (he has call display) he never called back. Sun morning I called we talked for a few minutes and said he had to go to work, usually he calls me from work on Sun night and we talk most of the night off and on. He didn't call at all. Then Mon he didn't call at . I called again on Tuesday, kind of asked why he didn't call on Sun night as usual he said he was really tired. Then we talked about 10 minutes and he said he had to run in the store to pick something up and would call me back. He hasn't called back yet. That was Tuesday. Wednesday was Valentines and he didn't call. He hasn't called back yet. I don't want to look like an idiot if he is seeing someone and that is who he's talking too.

She's so negative all the time. She has sleep apnea, so part of the problem could be that she doesn't get enough sleep. She said something to me that was pretty hurtful, and she's done it before but it's never been this bad. She also thinks her opinion is the only thing that matters. What can I do? I think it might be time for me to find friends that don't bring me down.
