we had a serious life and death issue to deal with last night, Laura rang my mum and she rang me, I told her what was happening (I was almost killed) and all my mum could say to me was your 18 so sort your own **** out.......Laura then talked to the guy and sorted it out but what I want to know is what the hell is my mum thinking in saying that, ok I'm not perfect but I would have thought she would've cared more than that...Laura then tried to call my uncle with no real success but its now sorted........
as I say all I want to know is why my mum had the guts to tell me to sort it out myself?? this guy had tried to hang me with a towel and stab me with pens and things last night......

so does anyone have any ideas???

i hav a best friend in a lower grade tht i would ttly d8 if he were older lol hes feelin down cuz he feels no1 in his grade likes him (trust me, his classmates hav told me how hes not exactly their favorite person). so now hes not talkin, and wrote down tht he wont talk till sum1 likes him, i tld him not to worry but i didnt really get the situation. so i ask my other friend, whos in his grade, wats goin on, she says he thinks no1 cares bout him, another guy i kno (who hates my 1st friends guts) says hes doin it 4 attention. i dunno wat to do! I have been going out with my boyfriend since novemeber of the 8th grade. (2004) I am completely in love with him. Whenever someone asks me how long ive been going out with him and i say 2 and a half years alomst they are shocked and tell me i need to break up with him because weve been going out for too long and he is my first boyfriend.

I guess what i want to know is why to high school age kids say this? Why do they hook up with different guys and girls every weekend? I dont understand why or what this does for you. It surely does nothing for your self esteem and confidence. My friends tell me im "missing out"...missing out on what?!?!

I know he loves me. He tells me how beautiful I am and how much I mean to him, but why does he constantly comment other girls? He says "you look amazing" or "lookin hot" or "we definitely have to hang out, cutie" all that stuff :/ I feel like he might even message them on myspace, that way I can't see what they're saying? I don't understand why he comments all of them and it makes me feel really bad. I just happen to look at peoples Myspace and there's a comment from my boyfriend: "Your hot"

I was talking to this girl who i get on with quite well, whilst we were talking she held my gaze then her eyes and i suppose head turned away and she looked down. is this a sign she is disinterested? it happened a couple of times when i was talking with her. I was thinking of calling this guy I know through my ex. It is a messy situation though, I caught my ex of a few years cheating so I left him. He still to this day(1 1/2 yrs later)wants me back. I'm a sophomore in highschool, and there's a freshman girl I saw who I want to get to know. How should I approach her for the first time?
I don't have any classes with her, and i only see her in between some classes.

In another question, I was told to smile and make eye contact when I see her in the halls, but not to freak her out.

Then later go up and say hey, or that I've been seeing her in the hallways and I had to go up to her.

Will this work?

And is there any difference between like a "friendly smile", and an "I like you smile"?

My pregnant g/f and I broke up about 1 week ago. We broke up on my terms. I emailed her alot of letters that had alot of hate words, and I even called her names. At that point, we were constantly arguing alot. Instead of calling each other, we'd email each other. Now that she's pregnant, she won't forgive after I said I was sorry and that she's going to make arrangements with my family to see the baby. Lately, we've been hanging out alot. I've been driving her to the clinic for her check ups, but when I mention getting back together, she says she needs to think what's best for her children and the baby. I've been making full efforts on trying to get her back. I'm even going to get her a house for her and the children. What should I do? Should I try to be her friend first or just forget about it and see what happens?
