My friend and her husband went to Aruba and on the 1st day there he signed them up for a boat tour. My friend got 2nd degree sunburn on her legs and couldnt walk, sit up, etc for the rest of the vacation. They got married 9-8-01 and were also detained in Aruba for several days due to 9-11.
My sister and her husband were driving south on thier honeymoon. My brother-in-law thought it would be nice to prepare a bubble bath for her. My sister got into the tub and after while starting to have some pain "in her lower regions". My brother in law used detergent to make the bubble bath.

My future mother in law was telling me how on 1st day of their honeymoon in Hawaii, her husband was standing on the beach and a huge wave knocked him over snapping his knee cap as he fell over. Ruined their whole Honeymoon in Hawaii b/c he was in so much pain and stuck in the Hotel, her stuck with him to take care of him like the good wife.

My own brother's . He married his in laws also. He took his wife on a honeymoon to Florida and I forget where else and her parents ended up going too. Oh yeah, the also lived in a house behind her parents.

SAAAAAAAAAAAAAD Situation. She couldn't cut those apron strings.

Needless to say, the marriage did not last.

This is a hacneyed joke and the joke is that despite this it is (not narrated but) acted upon by almost each new bride(despite the fact that she herself might have heard it so many times). It intrigues me that she, who must have laughedheartily over it when she heard it befoe marriage and yet she herself repeats it when her term comes up.While the climbing down to the mundane world of dusting, washing, ironing and cooking must no doubt appear as a literal fall from heaven it has a never wearing out charm of its own. I rather pity Sarah. The mother's alacrity in offering to take her away shows that this idea of living happily ever after must have breen imbibed into her impressionable brain by her.

My husband's ex-wifes mother died the day we got married. Honeymoon time was cut short by needing to make arrangements to have his daughter with us for the week.

Lol in a psychology book there was one set back in the 70's where the girls parents showed up at the resort the morning after to see how things 'went' the night before.

this isnt too bad, but on my honey moon we went 30 miles away to a motel w/a jacuzzi tub because we didnt have the money or the time to take a real honey moon and the next day we were going home and got stopped at a road block and got a stupid seat belt ticket! its actually pretty funny if u think about it.
