I was thinking of calling this guy I know through my ex. It is a messy situation though, I caught my ex of a few years cheating so I left him. He still to this day(1 1/2 yrs later)wants me back. I m over him. This guy I want to call i smutual friends with him and comforted me one night after it happened,nothing more than him holding me till I slept,he was sweet. I've been told he likes me but has kept his distance for respect of the 'guy code'. It has been 11 months since that night and I was going to call him to see how he has been, if you were in his shoes would you mind hearing from a girl that you both were put in a predictament that was not possible to escalate at the time almost a year later?Or would you not care to hear from her?

OK first what guy code, that's a boy's game. To a man when his best friend breaks up with his gf the girl is fair game and nothing is been said about a guy's code. SO whoever says there's a guy code hey must be a kids game. But if I was him I would have been calling you everyday and maybe all ready been hooking up with you already. Because if my best friend had a problem with that well boo hoo to him. So want to chat just IM me or e-mail me anytime.

I'm a 76 year young, married to the sweetest young man for 54 yrs. now, We have 5 happily married children and I think you should call the man. He was your friend too, Right ?? Nothing wrong with calling a friend and if it becomes more, so be it.

I'd want to hear from her. Let him decide if he wants to break the 'guy code' - which is by the way very real. It will come down to how important his relationship with the cheating bastard is to him.
