Two questions for married people?

1-Do you love your spouse?
2-Do you compare your spouse (his/her sexual, mental, emotional, and ... characteristics) with someone else?

2. Everyone makes comparisons between people, always. DO I ever WISH my hubby was like someone else? Sure I do, not physically or sexually, but there are times I wish we could carry on a conversation a little better - he's such an introvert. However, I DO love him and wouldn't trade him for anyone else in this world - I KNOW the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Yes, I love my spouse. If I didn't, then I wouldn't be married. Do I compare him to others, yes, sometimes. It's only natural to see or know someone and compare what the two people are like. I would not act on these comparisons though because it is true that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. If I wasn't happy in my marriage, then I would try to fix that problem first. If that wasn't possible, then I would get out of the relationship and pursue other avenues.

If you compare your spouse to someone else, there could be a problem with the relationship and is very disrespectful. At least in my opinion.

Yes, I love my spouse.
Yes, I compare my spouse with someone else...me. I also compare him to other men/boys I dated. I married the right one, he is far more superior and I knew that when I said "Yes". I also compare him/us to my parents and his and think he is very similar to my dad and his mother, I am very much like my mom and his dad, that's a good and a bad thing.
When I am around friends and their spouses I compare, it's only natural. I don't sit and say "Man I wish.." or "I'm so glad..." because I know for a fact we all have our flaws and strengths. I found a good match for me. We compliment each other nicely. It takes work but can be done. If you're being compared stand up for yourself and be who you are! If you're comparing others and find them looking better, maybe you need to move on or stop comparing.

2. No. Comparing a spouse to other people is wrong. If that happens the other person is not good enough and can't ever measure up to your expections.

Yes,I do compare my spouse to someone else. This someone else is older and wiser than the spouse. Conversations are very interesting,he will truly listen when he is spoken to. Thats all the difference I need!

Yes I love him - and yes, all the time. He usually comes out on top. Every time you are thankful your spouse isn't like someone else - you are comparing him/her. Everytime someone else does something nice for their spouse - you are comparing. It isn't disrespectful - it doesn't mean you don't love them - it just means you are aware that everyone is different. Married over 10 years.

2. No need to compare since I made sure he was the one I wanted to be with. I used to compare and ended up losing a wonderful man.
