I'm 39 but always fall under 23-27 year look. i've been dating (nothing serious of course) a few guys between the age of 23-27. I'm always honest about my age but they seem to be impressed by how young i look...anyway should i stay away from the 20's? I'm also dating older guys.

We get along ok. No fighting, abuse of any kind or anything. I just do not feel like I used to. We got married when we were 23 and 22. Both of us have changed so much. With our current personalitys at 34 and 33 we would most likely not be anything more than passing friends if we meet today. She is a stay at home mom. We both agreed to have children wich I love and am very happy we had. I will never leave her while they are still at home. They are more important than anything else in either of our lifes. I do not know how she feel but I would guess it is the same. I feel bad sometimes becouse I feel this way. We have been through most of our 20,s and 30's together all the hard times and good times that come with that. But what can you do when you no longer feel that connection. She is no longer the person that I turn to first in hard times, that I feel like I can count on no matter what, and that I know will understand me. Anyone else with this kind of experiance?

In 12 yrs of marriage there have been a few violent fights between me and my husband. One he choked me when I was 8 mths pregnant and another he charged me,i fell and got a concussion. The others I feel equally responsible for because I was just as physical. He always knit picks at petty things about me like, I smell like an ashtray( i smoke) so does he, my coffee stinks in the morning, says that I can't make a decision to save my life (when this is actually him),says hurtful things and then says that its me because I don't get his sense of humor, once told me that having sex with me was too much work, always seems irritable and aggravated, but denies there is anything wrong. Refuses to spend any quality time with me,such as a date. keeps making excuses, any attempts I do to make our marriage better he is a road block.I know this sounds crazy, even to me, but does something seems wrong with this picture?part of me says this relationship is messed up, other parts of me says maybe its me

If you get into a physical relationship with someone, who is more likely to get emotionaly attached faster, the man or woman? By this I mean, who is it going to be harder for to let go at the end of the relationship since there was physical contact? Are the men going to want to hang on longer, or are women because they get emotionaly attached qicker? I was in a physical relationship with this guy and I am in love with him. We still talk, but is it likely that he feels the same for me?

If a guy who is a "friend" of yours talks to you about him and his gf's sex life. Does that mean he respects her?

Fifteen years in a wonderful marriage and a friend of mine ask when does he stop being the only person giving to his wife's sister and their family. We were talking last night and he has constantly has been giving nice items to his sister-in-law, to her husband and their children. He only communicates through his wife but not once have they given anything back; their hands have extended more since he makes good money and has nice things. What struck the questions was when he gave to some very, very poor friends of his family and they were so appreciative they used some of their money that he gave to buy him a cake to show appreciation. This made him feel good but the next day his sister-in-law asked if one of their children could have one of his computers. Now he feels used since she has never given anything back; not even a thank you card. When is enough enough??? I know we should not give to receive but at the same time, I don't feel he should be sucked dry.

I met my boyfriend when I was 18. We met the first day I was in college, because I joined the collegiate newspaper staff and he was already a member. We co-wrote lots of articles together and had all of our classes toegther (we were both journalism majors). We got to be good friends and both graduated. He worked in our college town and I moved away for a year. We kept in close contact and when I moved back we moved in together and have been having a live-in realtionship for 8 months now. I am kind of seeking a propsal now. We are in graduate school togther and I like the idea of a long engagement and the commitment factor. He had already said that he wants to be with me forever, but although it sonds kind of greedy, I want the symbolism of a proposal and a ring...although there is no need for a large ring.

I mean, why do people get back with their ex-boyfriends or ex-girlfriends? They've exprienced the disappointment once, but they do it again! Don't you ever learn? Don't you think that with the amount of people on this planet (and there are some pretty good looking ones... ok, not all of them for sure!) it would be wiser to turn the page and start anew? It seems to be the easiest the thing to do rather than go out and find somebody new... Why do people do that?

I told her that yesterday " listen I dont think you are hosnest with me"and she said "why dont you trust me"...ect...and she cried....now I feel bad for making her cry, should I feel bad about that??
