Touchy situation. I am a teacher in a small school on the East Coast (no, I won't say exactly where). I became casual friends with a married couple (who are both teachers in separate nearby schools) who later divorced. I was always closer (platonically) to the man than the woman, and had participated in several local events with him. There has always been somewhat of an attraction brewing (no, I was not the cause of their breakup) . I was in love with my ex and trying to make that work. My relationship with my ex fizzled, and ultimately his marriage ended. The woman is no longer active in our circle. We've reconnected recently, and the attraction is strong. Very strong. Is he considered off-limits because I was once aquaintances with his ex? She still teaches, but she's switched to another school district. I feel horrible for being attracted to her ex husband. I feel as if I will somehow hurt her for dating him, but it is really hard for us to hold back on this attraction. Any advice?

Together but Apart
Five years ago,
She lied to you.
Told you I was fake.
But when I tried to talk to you,
You'd run off down the street.

It broke my heart to see you leave,
and not call down the road.
'Cause thats what your s'posed to do.
I felt so much alone.

When I found out that you had moved,
I thought my world would end.
For even though, Through all of that,
I longed to be your friend.

I still love you so, so much,
from the bottem of my heart.
And I still feel like we're together.
Even though we're apart.

When your close male friend asks you casually in the middle of a conversation "what will it take for you to fall out of love with me" does that really mean that he believes i have feelings for him, or would it be just a little joke?

It was out of the blue...we joke a lot but none of the jokes involve anything about being attracted to one another....

I have just started seeing a guy who lives 3 hours from me. We are only able to see each other every other weekend. Any ideas on how to keep things exciting other than chatting online or talking on the phone?

First of all, he's an outgoing guy and I'm a shy and modest girl... he has a ton of friends and is always surrounded by girls... my friends have known him in the past and they all say that he's a kind and friendly guy... we have one class together this year and he always looks at me during class... he asked me a homework question a few months ago and he seemed to be disappointed last time when we weren't in a group for something that was very minor... he walked past my classrooms when I was having some other classes... last time when I made it obvious that I was unhappy (my facial expression), he seemed to be quieter than he normally is... he recently borrowed something from me and when he returned it to me, he said thank you while looking straight into my eyes in a very sincere way... So does he like me or am I just being overly sensitive? We're both 16... and I've liked him ever since the beginning of this school year...

to a buy a dress that is way more expensive than the brides?
My niece is getting married and has found a very lovely gown for herself (2nd hand). She began planning her wedding 2 weeks ago. All of her brides maids have stressed that they are on a budgetthe cost of the attire presented to them by the bride is $350.. This is more than double what she has paid. To top it off the wedding is in three months and they need to place their order within a week.
These young girls are all highschool or college age. I have one daughter in the wedding and my sister has two, This is an awful lot of money to come up with in a week.
Because the brides budget is minimal herself (She is screaming poverty), I feel that she should come up with something a little less expensive for the ladies who are in no better shape than she is. You can have something nice without going "all out". Some have even said that they would have to decline because of the expense. Now she's mad. Your thoughts?

I've been dating this guy for a year and I really care for him a lot, but his anger problem gets in the way of our relationship. He doesn't become violent or abusive in any way, he just gets loud. I talked to him about 3 weeks ago that his anger is controlling our relationship and he said he would try to control it. Last night we had plans for dinner with my friends and he was frustrated (that's how it starts) because he was running late. When he realized he was still 30 minutes away (he lives 70miles away) and dinner would begin in 20 minutes, he asked me to cancel dinner and said he was going home. I became upset and expressed I didn't appreciate this and he broke up with me! He stated the following, "You need to start dating someone else because you and I are through!". I said okay and hung up the phone. What the hell? He has become angry before and always comes back apologizing, but he has never broken up with me. Also, I have never expressed my irritation with him before

I met this girl about a year ago now on a bus. At the time I was enjoying single life with many "friends" but we went out and I settled down. The first month or so was great and I felt so much for her but recently (nearly 1 year later) things have cooled and I can't even say for sure I still love her. When I'm out I notice other women and think "what could be?" I also don't relate love songs or anyting to my girl more to some mysterious future girl.

Thing is, I did arrange to meet another girl and couldn't go through with it. And my girlfriend is a really good partner...I enjoy spending time with her...

Things are made more complex now because we live together

Am I being a perfectionist? Looking for that perfect girl who will never come? Have I hit the working part of the relationship after the honeymoon period? Is it because we live together?

Okay, me and my really good friend are in an acting class together, and we also go the same school and are in the same grade. We share everything together and I was in acting class like a week or two before she was. I was the one who showed her acting, and all of a sudden she wants to be an actress just like I do, so she started to take the class with me. We have been taking the classes since about October. Yesterday at class, the coach asked her to stay after class for a few minutes. She got her first modeling job. I can't help but be kind of mad/jealous of her. I mean, I was the one who got her into this and now she is like..taking it from me kind of. She has to beat me at everything. She gets better grades than me, she has nicer things than me, and now she's taking my dream from me. How can I get myself to feel happy for her..because for some reason..I can't.
