Okay, me and my really good friend are in an acting class together, and we also go the same school and are in the same grade. We share everything together and I was in acting class like a week or two before she was. I was the one who showed her acting, and all of a sudden she wants to be an actress just like I do, so she started to take the class with me. We have been taking the classes since about October. Yesterday at class, the coach asked her to stay after class for a few minutes. She got her first modeling job. I can't help but be kind of mad/jealous of her. I mean, I was the one who got her into this and now she is like..taking it from me kind of. She has to beat me at everything. She gets better grades than me, she has nicer things than me, and now she's taking my dream from me. How can I get myself to feel happy for her..because for some reason..I can't.

This is kind of a hard one...but you should be happy for her cause she probably would be happy for you.

I know exactly how you feel! The funny thing is that I want to be a model like your friend! Anyway, try to drop the subject if she ever brings it up. Try to be nice, even though it will kill you inside. Your friend hasn't exactly taken your dream from you, but you should know that the percentage of girls who make it to the big screen aren't too high. Try your best and I wish you the best of luck!

The problem is with you, not with her, even if she does try to outdo you. You have to do your best and be happy with your efforts before you can be happy for her. There is room enough for both of you to be on top in modeling or acting or whatever you want to do in life. Try not to worry so much about what she is doing and focus on doing your best.

Find something of your own that she cant rly do, a new type of dancing both of you have not tried before, a journal o newspaper, an ask you column, something unique, if she asks to join, politely tell her that you would love to but unfortunately you are to busy on your own thing and tell her you are sure she is too.

I would work harder and maybe you will get a modeling job at a better agency meanwhile I would try to congratulate her.
