well my mam is planning to leave her abusive boyfriend after 4yrs with him she has only recently come to me and told me what he is like i never new but always thought there was something bad about him she is scared he will come after her she has 3 young children (not to him)my question is do you think its better to try and move him out with the police or just to leave when he is at work .and has anyone been through this that can give me some advice to help her.i never new it was as bad as it is until now but any advice would be great

my best friend (mark) is good friends with all these people in a band. one of those people in the band are named John. Mark called me with John on the other line. We talked for a while, and Mark showed John my myspace. Apparently, he thinks I am "insanely hot" and was talking to Mark about how bad he wants to "bone me." I was joking around on the phone and told John I'd give him a lapdance if he gave me and some friends a ride to the movies. So i probably led him on or something. Because I don't do things like that. Mark is having a party on Saturday and the whole band is going to be there. I'm afraid this guy John is going to try something on me and I'm not sure how to handle this. I've heard some bad things about John also, that he's an alcoholic and has a bad home-life. I know the typical answer is to "not go" to the party but I'm going to eventually meet this guy John somewhere because he's friends with a lot of people I know. And I really want to go to this party. what to do?

ok the other day... sunday it was. i found out my bf did a few lines of coke with his boss. ok not really found out, i told him i knew he was on it cuz he was showing all signs... constant talking, chain smoking, acting nervous ect. so i was like adam how was the coke with scott. he was like sorry i felt pressured to do it, i thought i'd lose my job over it. i said no job is worth losing what you've gained so far. we've both had bad coke problems in the past and starting again will lead us both downhill and apart. i told him i was disappointed in him and how would he feel if scott pressured me into having sex with him and i did it because i didn't want to lose my job? i wouldn'd do it ever though. he felt really bad. he promised not to do it again and i don't think he will but did i overreact in the first place?

My ex-best friend and i have been ex-friends since the beginning of September. She was the best friend i have ever had. and i miss her a lot. we've gotten into to fights and all, but this time it's for good. I can tell. and i miss her a lot. and i think i might be driving some of my other friends away because of my depression. I don't know if i should still feel sad about the whold thing.
And i kind of have another problem. I'm worried for my two friends who are still her friend, but i don't want to see them get hurt like i got hurt. She totally ditched them after our friendship ended. she got herself a whole new set of friends and totally ditched all her old friends. she doesn't hang out with them anymore and they're still her friends. I can't help but worry for them. Should i really feel this bad?

Seven years ago I started a relationship with a Marine and the whole first year was a fairy-tale. We had a fabulous relationship though I lived back home and he was away in the military.
He asked me to marry him and I said yes but we decided to wait. I spent my summers in California with him, he took leave to come see me.
Every year, our relationship seemed to get worse. By the 3-4 year I was constantly in tears, he would ignore me for months and was very cruel. Even when we were together he was cruel. It seemed he didn't care.
He came home from Iraq in Dec '03 and asked if we were still getting married. I thought on our history and though I loved him DEARLY I couldn't see a future with him. I told him, "no" and we parted, never to see each other again though he called once two years later to try to get me back. He was discouraged to find I was married. A friend tells me he is still hurt.
If he cared enough to pine away for three years, why didn't he treat me better?

My boyfriend and I have decided that we want to move in together fairly soon (within the next few 1-1 1/2 months). The problem is that I have a contract on a 2 bedroom apt. that I share with another girl. This contract expires in July of this year.

My boyfriend has suggested that I sub-rent my share of the apt until the lease expires in July. I talked to my roommate about it and she didn't like this option, she doesn't want to live with someone she doesn't know.

The questions are, is it ok for me to try to sub-rent my part of the unit? Should I honor the contract and just keep paying until the end of it? What do people do when they are getting married, working oversees, etc and have to relinquish their contract?

I went out with this girl for 18 months. It was the most amazing time of my life. We were crazy about eachother. We talked about our future together, our house, our careers everything...call us crazy...but it was real. We never thought anything would stop us from being together. Then came college. We went from being together litterally everyday...to only seeing each other on the weekends. That was a huge change for us. I kinda freaked out and talked about transfering to a school closer to home. She started to act a little distant...I'd come home and we would only hang with her friends..no alone time anymore. I know she was just adjusting..but it was terrible. We knew things were new, different and weird..but we didn't want to give up. I'm 25 years old, and i've been with my husband since I was 15. we have always had the affection but when he came back from the split which was only a week,he didn't want the affection cause he felt it was a routine and got him no where.
