highschool girl in need of some help! mature, kind people please?

my best friend (mark) is good friends with all these people in a band. one of those people in the band are named John. Mark called me with John on the other line. We talked for a while, and Mark showed John my myspace. Apparently, he thinks I am "insanely hot" and was talking to Mark about how bad he wants to "bone me." I was joking around on the phone and told John I'd give him a lapdance if he gave me and some friends a ride to the movies. So i probably led him on or something. Because I don't do things like that. Mark is having a party on Saturday and the whole band is going to be there. I'm afraid this guy John is going to try something on me and I'm not sure how to handle this. I've heard some bad things about John also, that he's an alcoholic and has a bad home-life. I know the typical answer is to "not go" to the party but I'm going to eventually meet this guy John somewhere because he's friends with a lot of people I know. And I really want to go to this party. what to do?

You made one mistake so far..........never promise anything you don't plan to deliver. If you put out an ad, someone WILL answer it. You've told this guy you'd give him a lapdance.....so now he figures that he's got a pretty good chance of getting you in the sack. If you want to attend the party, then go. But make sure you keep friends around you at all times, never be alone. Also tell your friend Mark to tell John that you're not interested in any kind of relationship with him. Another thing......don't be put into a position of compromise. If there's any alcohol at this party, don't drink it, or even be around it. If you drink alcohol, and start getting a buzz, it will actually "knock down walls", and you'll find yourself doing things you wouldn't normally do. This is one of the oldest boy tricks in the book. Get the girl drunk, then get laid. Think very carefully about this....then have a good and safe time. Best of luck to you.

I would tell him that you were just kidding around and not serious about what you said, afterall you aren't the "loose" type who practice such behavior. You're much more discreet than that. Just play it off if the he calls you out on it, but hopefully everyone forgets it by then. The BEST solution is not to go to the party and set yourself up in being in that situation at ALL. Also makes sure you are firm with your answer if you have to, have a friend or two stand beside you physically because you'll be more accountable than to give into peer pressure. Get reinforcement.

IF (and I don't think you should) you go to this party and in life in general be very aware of your surroundings and stay with a group of friends at all times even if you have to go to the bathroom take a girl friend with you. Dont let this guy get you alone . He may be the nicest guy in the world and he may be aware that you were joking on the phone but be cautious anyway .
