I can't insure my own flesh and blood children after age 18 (or 21 if they go to college). Why can people who aren't related, not married, insure each other, but I can't keep my kids on my insurance!?

okay. So at my school this is a boy I have known for...forever. okay 3-1/2 years. and this is the first year we are in middle school together and now the iron dating curtian has been lifted. in other words, EVERYONE is dating EVERYONE. It's SO not that I want to date him because of thats wut everyone else is doing. I just. We are friends. And I thought I didn't like him. Maybe I don't. But then A girl I know said she liked him and then all of a sudden I got all fluttery in my stomahce and Now i want to stuff a valentine in his locker but not sign it.
I am SO sorry that this is not clear to the point but that is excatly my point(*and feelings:(!)

My best friend met this guy over a year ago, and they have been in a relationship for just a little less than that. I've never liked him for many reasons. He is both a little bit mentally abusive and verbally abusive, but it seems like it's getting worse. He is also very controlling. I have tried many times to get her to see things how I see them, but have gotten no where. I just don't know what to do any more, I don't want to make her choose between us because we've been best friends for around 10 years, but it's getting to the point where I just can't stand to see how his actions affect her. His lastest display of control freakness was when he made her delete all her guy friends off her messenger lists, and some of the guys she has known forever, there was nothing between any of them. When she doesn't do something he wants her to do, or when she does something he doesn't like, he uses his love as a pawn in the game he plays. I just don't know what to do anymore. Any advice?

And I mean no disrespect, but PLEASE don't flood my e-mail box with those, "Hey baby, I got what you need right here!" messages....I am being SERIOUS here....not looking for one-night stands or "serial thrillers"........lol

I moved here a year ago, and I have yet to meet a man who isn't either a drunk, on probation, living with his mother, or still hung up on his ex-wife.

And yes, I am a bartender, but I am not looking in the BARS for a man.

If anybody can clue me in as to where to go to find a decent man with a responsible outlook on life, I would really appreciate it.

We went to the same high school but we weren't friends then. Since August of last year we started hanging out more and became friends. But I don't think he would look at me as anything more than a friend, and sometimes if the topic of relationships comes up between all our friends he'll tell us about how bad his past relationships were and how they aren't worth it. But me and him are a lot alike, enough so that one of my friends noticed and asked me if I like him. She says she can see us together. I was thinking about having her find out what he thinks of me (I really don't want to just tell him because that would make things very awkward). And then at least I would have a definite answer and could either get over him (if he doesn't like me) or go for it (if he does). What would you do in this situation?

I've been in mine for 14 yrs but planning to move out, probably breaking up.
First of all.... You should know that in the 1st 4-5 yrs we were insanely crazy for each other, best friends, having sex 2-4x a day, and had alot in common.

Nowadays... he has repaced me with porn, we have sex every 2-4 months, we argue alot, not much in common, he NEVER listens, pothead, drinks alot, overweight, workaholic, etc....

HERE'S THE PAINFUL PART... we still really love each other but just butt heads too much to get thru a conversation or sex. And the attraction? What attraction/chemistry.

And lately I cannot keep my eyes off other men. His porn "thing" drives me to wanna be bad. And not having sex anymore....well... starvations making me hungry, making me get some dangerous thoughts in my head, espescially around a handsome devil.

We are almost positive our son-law has this syndrom and we are so afraid for our daughters life. He has already broken her neck and ankle and he just refuses to let her divorce him. My husband went up to Alaska last month to help her in court but the judge said that she just didn't have enough evidece to render a divorce and that she either let him back in the house or she would have to let their two year old daughter go with him two weeks out of the month. He had no where to live since our daughter had gotten a restraining order to keep him 200 feet from her and the baby so the judge said he didn't care about that. She could do one of two things either let her crazy husband back in the house, drop the restraining order or he wou;d have to go out get a place and take the baby anyway. What can we do? our daughter is back down here with family now where she has lived for the past 15 months with us. The only reason she went back this last time is because he told her he would get help. Mom

My boyfriend is really good to me but there are things that I just don't like about him. For example he still lives at home at 20, his personality is totally different from mine, I love to travel and explore new things but he's a homebody that never wants to do anything. We've been together for 3 years and nothing has changed. I've always have had doubts in my mind if we are really meant to be together. I don't want to make a mistake and leave someone who treats me nice and end up never finding someone. I don't know why I'm so worried because I'm just 18 but I'm just scared of making a mistake. if you are unhappy with the person you are with.. then leave them. i cant stand it when the person says "it just happened" kissing is one thing... but still not acceptable. but when you sleep with another person.... its def time for break up. i couldnt forgive them. once a cheater.. always a cheater...

I'm trying to get back into dating after divorce with mixed results. There are mostly morally corrupt men on the dating scene. Nobody compares to my ex-husband who had a lot of integrity and was always faithful. Call me a cynic...but do men only want sex and find that being in a relationship is the price to pay for getting it regularly and in an socially acceptable way (as opposed to getting it in a socially unacceptable way like prostitutes, hook-up online dating sites or doing it w/ married people)? It seems like women crave relationships and intimacy and sex plays "a part" in relationships but for men they only want sex and grudgingly accept a relationship if they're the type who cares what people think of them. Answers/opinions please.....
