Whenever my husband needs to provide me with an explaination about even the smallest situation, his first instinct is to lie. For instance, I know my husband smokes because I have found cigarettes, receipts, and lighters in his things. However, he adamantly denies that he smokes. He says the cigarettes are for his brother. I also can smell smoke on his breath, but he acts as though I am being paranoid. Also, the other day, he lied about using my cell phone (which is not a big deal). He even helped me search for it knowing that he had it. When I checked my account history on my phone, I saw that he had called his work and the doctor's office. Of course, he had an explaination for that as well. We have been together for ten years, and otherwise, we have a great relationship. Should I continue to put up with the lies? What should i do?

A guy whom I dated briefly years ago found me online on match personal ad 2 months ago.
We lived long distance and I happen to be moving home.
He knew that I wouldnt be moving home until around New Year's.
He acted all excited & happy for a while.
Problem is is that he keeps updating his ad on match (I only know because he fits my search criteria when I look for matches) (adding pics of his possessions to seem more attractive I guess) and recently asked me if Id be interested in being 'friends with benefits' when I move home. (wow insulting no one has ever brought up that with me)
I guess I should give up on him and see that he just considers me booty call and not a potential girlfriend.
Im depressed because at first he acted like he wanted to date when I moved home.
Also depressed because there are hardly any single men 29-35 where Im moving back to......
Should I bother contacting him when I move home next week ? He keeps saying he cant wait to see me, but I think its bull.

When I was pregnant with my son, I felt like my mum was never really there for me. We used to be quite close so this was upsetting. The day he was born I rang her and told her the news and she seemed as if she didnt even care. I asked her what was wrong, as I expected her to be a little more excited about the birth of her first grandchild, and she said that if I didnt know she wasnt going to bother telling me and then she hung up on me. I, after the intense experience of giving birth for the first time, cried and cried and my fiance was very angry with her after that. Since then, almost 2 1/2 years have passed and I have only spoken to her once, at my brothers wedding when I tried to mend the bridge but she didnt seem to want to. I have been very angry with her for a long time now, but she is my mother and I do miss her. My fiance hates her for what she put me through and my son doesnt even know her. Do I just give up on the whole thing after all this time or do I try again? Help!

Need advise where to start. Never married to childs father. Who do I talk to about seeking assistance for legal representation in a custody fight. Ex's relatives will pay as much as it takes to get him custody and his relative is very influential in the community. Infact most people fear her. Sky's the limit for money.
I'm on disability and have no money for legal representation. My son's father and I have been sharing custody 50/50, no problems. Till he got mad at me and his aunt(she pays all his bills and he doesn't work)has pressed the issue. She's done this before and I reasoned with my ex not to go through w/ it. This time I don't think reasoning with him will work. I'm not even able to scratch the surface as to what they have up their sleeve. But I need to know where to start looking for help. I'm in the State of Nevada, in Elko County. One more thing, Most everyone in the town I live in, do not dare to cross this rich aunt. Not even the authorities in the town. PLEASE HELP ME!

Me personally, maybe I can't say, because I'm a virgin and stuff.. but from lke people in general and the media and what not, it just seems like people are so into likeing people for their bodies. Using them for their bodies, adoring them for their bodies. When actuallity doesn't it get old? I mean why do people love "hot" looking people so much? Do you think it's just a habit with main stream because media like tv and stuff tells us we're supposed too? I honestly think its wrong to think of someone just for thier body? I don't understand how looks and what's "hot or not" have become so important in being a happy person? What are these people trying to accomplish? When you say someone was sooooo hot or cute who really cares? There are A LOT of hot people out there, but when you come down to it when someone first takes interest in you because they think you are cute or hot, do they just want to you use you? Shouldn't the best real relationship be built on compatibility rather than sex?

and i can't seem to find love. At first everything was ok because i was enjoying my new life. and then all of a sudden i started thinking about how great we were together and always go back. Ok, this is a tough one. My father died 2 1/2 years ago, I was really close to him, but unfortunately I wasn't there when he passed away, and 3 days later my sisters husband called and told me. NOT ONE of my brothers and sisters (I have 10) or my mother called me, then or since. I was REALLY pissed off, and even if they didn't call because they knew I wouldn't take the news well is no excuse for not calling. I was devastated, not only did I have no one to talk to at all during my grief for my dad, I also spent the last 2 Christmas's alone, while my kids went to my mom's to celebrate.
I've been really disappointed in my mom, I'd always had a good relationship with her, or so I'd thought.
She phoned today, left a message inviting me to Xmas dinner on Xmas day, but I've already invited a friend who has a son and no where else to go for dinner, and my husbands son is coming also. What do I do now? I want my family back, but is this invite enough?Do I have to cancel my own plans now?
