I am in love with a good friend from work. We met six months ago and still nothing has happened between us. We've been out a few times to the movies just as friends but not recently cos he has had money problems etc. He is very stubborn in the fact he will not let me help him moneywise or treat him to a drink or anything. But i just feel so much chemistry between us. He is always helping me with so much, he walks me home from work sometimes, he's let me in on his problems and can talk about anything with me, he looks at me like he does like me, you know eye contact, he looks at my mouth while we talk aswell which is meant to be a sign. We are always mucking about and joking together. I just need to know what signs to look for. I really want to say something to him but at the moment it's difficult because of his other problems i don't want to scare him away with this aswell. But at least if i know he has feelings for me too then i will be willing to wait for him till he's ready.

Do women expect a man to approach them for a date? I have friends who seem so natural at talking to women. When I approach and strike up a conversation I feel like they sense my fear. Any suggestions on how to get over this...Sometimes I feel like I should be more reserved and play the tough guy role and let her come to me. Then I'm thinking that I need to keep practicing at approaching until I'm more comfortable. Thanks.

I am married and I have two wonderful kids. I have an 8 year old daughter from a previous relationship and we have a 4 year old son. My mother in law is pissed because I can't get my daughter for X-Mas eve. I have her X-Mas day instead. The thing of it is, my husbands brother, his gf, and there son and her two daughters are coming home. My mother in-law does X-Mas eve every year. I alternate holidays with my daughters dad and this year I get her X-Mas day. Any way my mother in law came to my house and in front of a bunch of people sat there and was like well are you sure you can't get her and was rolling her eyes at me and makeing me feel about the size of a pee!!! You should really work on getting her etc. I am just sick of the drama that they bring to the table and I really don't want to spend X-Mas with them at all. My husband understands and says I can stay home. But I don't want to feel like I am hurting him if I don't go. Please help.

my friend who is eighteen years old has met a lad of a similar age off a chat room and have been mailing eachother since and planning to meet soon.
however last night she got a phone call from this lads house off a girl saying that she was his girlfriend and she lived with him.
when we confronted the lad he said she was his ex and she was a psycho who was still in love with him.
my friend believes him, but im unsure to be honest.
what do you guys think?

i have a gf who i thought i was breaking up with. she was acting very moody and angry all the time and it was depressing me. then i met another girl who was really smart and touched something deep inside me, making me want to reconnect to people. i wrote her a poem and sent it to her as a secret admirer, i had no intention to try to hook up with her, but then we began to talk and i felt creepy so i told her. we talked about maybe being more than friends but decided to be just friends. my gf seems a lot better, i failed in understanding that she was depressed and on bad medicine. but i see a pattern with us of great high and horrible lows. i told her everything from my perspective that happened and she said she still wanted to work on stuff. however, i am not sure if there are rumors of something else happening going around. i also still have feelings for the other girl and am trying to get over them.

How would you feel if the party you had been planning on going to all year but most recently all week was suddenly last minute "out of the question" while talking to your husband on the phone on the way out the door? He demanded that he wanted to come home to his son after all day, and then later he said it would be really nice if he could come home and spend the evening with his WHOLE family (me too) and that maybe he didn't really want to go to the party, so instead of watching my son and letting me stop by and say hi to all my friends, he said I needed to miss the whole thing to. I couldn't have just gone anyway, because he has this "go if you dare" tone and implication behind everything he says "do what you want" to. And I know what happens after I would have gone - a big lecture like I was his daughter or something about how I must not care about family, and that my social life must be more important. (I'm a mostly stay at home mom, so I never go out. Ever.)
