My parents taught me about those things, but it wasn't until I was on my own that I actually got to implement some of the things that they taught me and apply my own set of morals and values to the mix. Then I weeded out what did and didn't work. But I really believe that the best lessons learned are the ones that we experience on our own. And that is life! Live and learn, and hopefully we don't leave too many people in our wakes.

My parents were never around, so I was pretty much raised by my Grandparents. My Grandfather taught me a lot about respect and tolerance, and My Grandmother gave me a lesson I'll never forget. Just because you have biological parents doesn't mean they are the best for you. A family is someone who cares about you and loves you, even if the only family you have is a group of friends.

My mom taught how to be a strong woman and I admire her for what she has gone through in her life. But People still need to experience things for themselves in order to learn from them. we sometimes need to take the long road to be a better person.

not really. i learnt about relationships, treating people with respect, etiquette, morals by myself with a little help of a few of my friends at school when i was a kid and through my experiences at school, college and university by being around a diverse set of students and tutors and lecturers who understood me really well

You have to learn it from someone, my parents didn't teach me but i was clever enough to surround myself with healthy people other than them.
