What activities do you do on your own? There are some people who never do anything alone, but I think its fine to go to the movies by yourself. Are they any other brave people out there who do things on their own? What are those things?

This guy I know will ask me out through e-mail only, never will talk on phone and then when I accept I don't hear from him. Is this just a way of a guy playing games or is he just messed up in the head.

Have you heard of infidelity among black marriages back in the day when the wife would get out of the bed that she and her husband shares so that his girlfriend could spend time with him?

This was supposed to have been an acceptable type of behavior among the black community during the time when a lot of black men were off at war.

If you have any supporting information regarding your answer, please include it.

Thanks!

Two different men came up to me at work today, smiled and one said, "Nice pants" while the other said, "I like your pants." They seemed to be very friendly and the compliment made me feel good. I just wonder if I should consider it flirting or just being nice. Guys, can you give me some insight as to how much, if any, you notice what a woman is wearing and would you go out of your way to compliment it if you weren't attracted to her? Thanks!

2. not tell my parents, stay safe but not be able to go out to the movies or anything and risk it getting back to them. what should i do please help!

If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away.
If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay.
Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior. Allow your intuition (or
spirit) to save you from heartache.
Stop trying to change yourself for a relationship that's not meant to be.
Slower is better.
Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy.
If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve
then heck no, you can't "be friends" A friend wouldn't mistreat a friend.
Don't settle.
If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is.
Don't stay because you think "it will get better." You'll be mad at yourself
a year later for staying when things are not better.
The only person you can control in a relationship is you.
Avoid men who've got a bunch of children by a bunch of different women. He
didn't marry them when he got them pregnant, why would
he treat you any differently?
Always have your own set of friends separate from his.
Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you.
If something bothers you, speak up.
Never let a man know everything.* He will use it against you later.
You cannot change a man's behavior.* Change comes from within.
Don't EVER make him feel he is more important than you are... even if he has
more education or a better job.
Do not make him into a quasi-god. He is a man, nothing more nothing less.
Never let a man define who you are.
Never borrow someone else's man. If he cheated with you, he'll cheat on you.
A man will only treat you the way you ALLOW him to treat you.
You should not be the one doing all the bending...compromise is two way street.
You need time to heal between relationships...there is nothing cute about
baggage... deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship.
You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you...a relationship consists
of two WHOLE individuals...look for someone complimentary...not supplementary.
Dating is fun...even if he doesn't turn out to be Mr. Right.
Make him miss you sometimes...when a man always know where you are, and
you're always readily available to him - he takes it for granted.
Never move into his mother's house.
Never co-sign for a man.
Don't fully commit to a man who doesn't give you everything that you need.
Keep him in your radar but get to know others.

I've been dating a guy that is into country music and surfing and has a dog and a truck and likes sports and likes to travel and is 28. I don't know what to get him for christmas. What do guys like. Please don't say some sort of video game, he's not into that. What do you buy grown men that don't need anything? also, i'm thinking around $40. i'm cheap i know.

Me and me now ex-broke up recently. No bad things happen, just want to focus on school and work right now. He wants us to still be friend, (we were friends for 3 years b4 we actually dated) and I was cool with that. But how do you do that if you are still in love with the person? It's not like you can throw away all the things you shared and go back to "hey buddy ole pal". Help.

My roomate and I admitted our attraction for each other a few weeks ago, and have gotten on each other twice. It seemed like he actually may have liked me but now he's mean to me sometimes. There wil be times when we are home alone and we get real close to each other on the couch and watch tv, or look at our fantasy football teams, but sometimes he's a jerk. It's not like he's this way before or after we get done cuddling..and I know it's just an innocent little fun random hook up, but still...What does this mean?

When I was younger I had a huge crush on this guy who then started talking to my sister, he seemed in love with her, but she didn't really like him... so she's been leading him on for like 4yrs. then recently he's backed off. We went out to dinner the other day and had a really good time but my sister got really upset and said that I hurt her by trying to date him especially because they have a past of 4ys together. They were never officially boyfriend/ girlfriend b/c she said she didn’t like him, like that, so they spoke on the phone and occasionally dated for 4yrs, and always as a double date with me and a guy friend of ours but I never stopped loving him.And now he realized that he was chasing the wrong sister and he wants to be with me. I don't want to lose my sister over a guy but I love this guy and I did like him first, should I just abandon this chance to be happy, or should I go out with him regardless of how my sister feels because she didn't care about how I felt 4yrs ago
