I have been married for nearly 7 years. I have two beautiful girls, 3 and 1. During my wife's last pregnancy, she was having a bad pregnancy and had to be on bed rest for a few months. Our lives were very complicated and she devoted all her attention to my daughter. I felt neglected to the point that I thought I was not in love with her. I left the house and started seeing another woman that gave me all the attention I craved. After a few months, I decided to go back to my wife. She took me in and I guess we never really address the problems that made us unhappy. Two months ago, we had an argument and the next day she told me that she was not in love with me. At first she wanted me to move out and then she asked me to come back to try. Deep inside I feel like she loves me but is deeply hurt and the argument brought all back. She is not sure why she feels like that but she believes that with time her feelings can return. Away I realized how much I love her and how sorry I am

Well my grandma seems to think that I am taking the wrong path. I want to be a lawyer or a doctor {im 15}. She was like " you should be a social worker". And i told her that i all ready have my mind made up and she seems like shes mad because i told her I want a better life than what i do right now... Money wise... I dunno how to explain to her that i dont want to live in the ghetto all of my life without hurting her and my moms feelings. And evreytime i bring it up they get mad... Any advice?? Dear Everyone,

I have been seeing this person online for the past two mos. We have spoke about everything and anything…For the past couple of weeks, there have been “up’s and down’s” between us.
There was a moment, when I didn’t hear from him for about two days. Suddenly, he was under the impression, that I was out dating other men, he called me that night, and spoke about how he feels of me, and said that he is falling in love with me. I myself felt a deep closeness to him as well. Another moment was, I called him a couple of times and finally he returned his phone call about 13 hrs later. In between, the time – I sent him an email, because I started to have doubts, because he doesn’t have the courtesy to even send an email or text, basically, said that I wasn’t sure of him that is he just ignoring me or what it can be. He read my email, and got upset. We spoke of it, and made up afterwards. Another incidence is, that I said something in a jokingly manner “that when we speak in the middle of the night” – I’m half asleep and don’t quite hear what he says at times. He took that to the heart, and stopped calling me during the night hours, I sent him a message one night, that “I miss speaking with him, love him, and worry for him because he is going through a difficult time”. And he returned my call around 3:45am, we spoke, I did question him, that is he wanting to quit speaking, because their was lots of awkwardness, and he got upset, and asked “is this what I am wanting?” I said NO!!. and ever since, we both have been a little distant.
I sent him an email yesterday, explaining how I felt of him, and explained how these couple of weeks been tough on me. Last night, he called me around 3am and we spoke, it was the first time ever, the he mentioned how his past marriage failed, which we both never opened this topic, but he still says that he is not going to call me in the middle of the nights He always for the past two days tends to call in the middle of the night, but, then apologizes that he has called this late. As I said before it was the first time, he discussed about his past marriage too. He mentioned that he thinks, I am a bit confused, and we should take a step back (meaning, he will only call during 9am-9pm) and no longer later. He doesn’t say “I love you” anymore. I don’t want to lose him, but what is going through his mind? Is this a bad sign??, I don’t understand, that he says that he is not going to call me in the middle of the nights, but still does so….which I want him to continue? But I just want things to back where they were before.

My lover has suggested that we might make some home movies of our lovemaking. I have let him take some still pictures in the past. He is lovely and great sober and when 'merry drunk' but sometimes he insists on drinking himself to oblivion (up until recently entirely behind my back - we have been dating 6 months) - he tries to avoid inviting me to these boozy parties and will do anything to keep us together. When he goes these parties he gets drunk to the point of passing out/oblivion - he is 42 - its like he is completely lost - doesn't know Im there and completely out of control.

My boyfriend and I have been together for nearly a year and knew each other for several years before that. This is probably the healthiest, happiest relationship I have ever been in. Except for one little thing. My sex drive is much higher than his. I am always the initiator. I feel like he is just giving in most of the time and it is driving me crazy!! Hello.

I am currently having serious family issues that I would like advice on. My wife and I have been married for almost a year now. I am 27 and she is 21. She grew up in a very enclosed environment at home with her parents, she was basically home schooled most of her life and has not had major social interaction with others. I have always been more of a social person, I have friends that I have known for over 10 years and are still friends to this date. We are still struggling to find that middle ground in our relationship, because it is always an arguement when I want to go and spend a few hours with my friends, a few hours meaning like 3 or 4 hours on a weekend, maybe to watch a football game or whatever. As far as I know I am a responsble father and husband and take care of things like have our finances intact. and all bills paid. I spend most of my free time with her and the baby because I avoid going out for a breather just not to have an argument. My mother recently is over to visit for a few weeks and my wife started an argument over petty stuff such as my mother and brothers holding the baby, claiming that they will make him sick (she is usually extremely worried about germs). I don't know what to do because my mother wants to spend time with her grandchild and I don't think my wife will even entertain that thought right now. I finally had enough and told her that if she is gonna act that way, she might as well move back to her parents house eight hours away and never tell my son about me because I was just fed up with all the obsessivness. I know its a terrible thing to say but I love my child so much and want to be around him, but as long as my family wants to get involved with seeing him and loving him it will always be stress for me convincing my wife to let them do that. Is almost like being asked to disown my my mother and siblings and just live in a world that is revolves aeround my family. What can I do to make things better because I know deep down she is really a nice loving person, its just that she has no social experience whatsoever be it family or friends. I want her to live a fulfilling life but she doe not understand that and prefers us to live like hermits. I don't want my son to turn out like that . What can I do to make things better?

I have been married to my husband for 5 years, but I am still in love with my ex. (whom I have my first child with). My ex and I broke up because I cheated on him with my husband, but I never really stopped loving my ex . Moved back to DC to be with my High School sweetheart.Keep in mind I have a ten yr old daughter from a 12 yr prior relationship.The day that I moved here I was feeling very uneasy.The 1st week someone stole my truck,I have'nt found a job,and he has changed.They are fixing my truck now at the shop it was found 2 weeks ago.I'm just ready to go I have never been so stressed in my life,I'm not happy here at all.I kept my apt in Va,Beach,thank God.His mouth is very foul,Every other word is a curse word.When he's nice he's very nice.But he's never hit me or nothing like that,it's just when I try and tell him I'm leaving when my truck is finished,he just keep right on talking like he don't here me.My truck is not big enough to take my daughter's bed and dresser back but I have enough room in my jeep to take our clothes.It's just something different about him now that he knows I want to leave.Please help any advice?
