Nothing says that a man should be older than the woman in marriage. It depends upon the 2 people involved and their personalities and common goals. Age is a number and a state of mind.

I don't think a man has to be older than his wife at all...I am 26 and my husband is 24, we've been married since he was 21 and we are very happy together and have a successful marriage. I think maturity plays a more important role in a relationship. Once both parties are mature enough, the relationship will blossom.

There's no reason that a man should be older than the woman in a marriage. ignore that stuff about Adam and Eve: it's irrelevant. While a massive age gap could make some things difficult, there's only one thing that matters when it comes to relationships: love.
(My wife's 2 years older than me!)

When young adults get married - the girl tends to be more mature than the guy. When a guy is very immature in a marriage - it can make for some difficult problems.

Speaking in generalization of course, women mature faster than men, usually a good balance is 4-5 years in age difference. Women have expressed to me that they feel more secure with a somewhat older spouse. Speaking for men, I have generally heard that younger women make you feel good about themselves. Men, worry about how their spouse will age much more than women do, therefore if he marries someone younger he'll always have a younger women on his arms. I know ladies, it's a double standard, but gentlemen get older and become "distinguished" in society's eyes, but women must continue to stretch and lift, and tuck to maintain their beauty for society and oh so tragically for themselves. It's a well known fact that a large percentage of women have been brainwashed by " Cosmo"

Guys don't have to be older than girls in relationships, it all depends on the couple.
My mom is 4 years older than my dad, and that has never been a problem for them.
However, I am nearly 3 years younger than my boyfriend, but we are both on the same level of maturity.

there is no law stipulate that, it only the curiosity of people working like that, how old is Adam and Eve when they were created?
even also that there is no law that stipulated that a man should be taller that a woman in marriage.
all what peopel should bother about is love, if there is love between the 2, that is not necessary again either age nor height is relevant.

because men mature slower then girls. Therefore to be on the same maturity level in a marriage, it only makes sense for the woman to marry an older guy.
