I'll try to be as brief as possible...
My husband and I have been together for 10 years & best friends for 7 yrs before. We argued about stupid things but I just didn't see how trivial they truly were until recently, "conveniently" as he puts it, when he gets to his breaking point. I tried to explain that sometimes you just have to see things for yourself & that I really want to work this out but we just have the same convos over and over and get nowhere. He says he doesn't want to try, he just wants it to be done. He moved in w/ a family member after one of these convos...that was about a month and a half ago now & though he says all he wants is to sell the house & get a divorce, nothing has happened. He came over 4 wks ago saying he was calling a mediator the next day but so far nothing. I want to believe that he is torn and maybe not as sure as he says but I don't want to be the queen of denial!! I just feel there is so much to lose by walking away & I can't imagine life w/out him

I am my mother’s only daughter of 4 children. I am 24 and the only one she treats like crap.

She tries to fight with me about stupid stuff and then says I am the troublemaker!

She invited me over for my birthday this weekend and told me not to ruin her day with my “bull####”

Then she said I was “just like” my brother who she says argues for no reason and is mentally ill. He is an alcoholic drug addict and I NOTHING like him.

She blamed me for the argument and I ended up telling her I needed to go home because her arguments escalate and she won’t let it go until she wins.

I cried all the way home and my husband believes my mom doesn’t like me because she verbally and emotionally abuses me all of the time.

My counselor says she is bad for my self image and I need to limit my contact as a permanent solution to help me handle her.

She is never going to change, so what do I do?

I was invited to a friend of a friend's birthday party and I don't know what to buy her. I don't know much about her interests, either.
What should I do? I want to buy her something nice, but inexpensive at the same time.

My would-be 5 year anniversary with my ex boyfriend is November 3rd. We are still very close and best friends, although I do have a new boyfriend. My exboyfriend made dinner reservations to celebrate our friendship/relationship, but do you think my new boyfriend would be mad?

I'm dating a fantastic guy- intelligent, handsome, funny, caring- in other words- Mr. Right. I never had self-esteem problems, always loved myself for who I was. Recently I started thinking that he's too good for me, etc. I know it's not his fault that I'm feeling this way, he shows me respect & everything. My previous relationships were all unhealthy, this is the first 'normal' one, with a truly worthy man. Even though my friends, collegues, and my guy think I'm beautiful, I suddenly stopped believing it is true. Even strangers tell me I'm attractive. I know it, but I don't feel it. I don't know what to do, I feel miserable and its killing the relationship. Please help

Sometimes I still think about it and sometimes i shy away from sexual encounters with him. I went to counseling for about a year after the incident happened. I am a lot better, but it's part of me. Should I tell him? I feel taht that is just something you should not tell your significant other about. What is you opinion?

I have a friend who hasn't spoken to me for over a month. We have been friends for 8 years. As far as I was aware of, everything was fine. She has always been a little oversensitve, but she's never reacted like this. The other day, she dropped me an email and said that I had hurt her feelings, but she didn't say how, and that's why she hasn't spoken to me in so long. I was completely taken aback and very hurt that she would react that way and I told her so. She won't tell me why she is so hurt. The only thing I can think of is that it somehow has something to do with my being in a relationship and she is not. Could I have said something insensitive about it? Even if I did, why would she react that way? Should I get out of this friendship or try to work it out? If the latter, how do I approach this? I really don't like it when people are passive-aggressive.

Personally, I LOVE it when my guy washes my hair. I think this is very sensual. Do you enjoy this? Do you think guys would do it more if they knew how much their girl liked it?

I slpit with her 3 months ago, as she was going through a messy divorce and selling her house. She said she loved me but needed to get all her mess sorted for the sake of her child, so I agreed and have not contacted her for three months. I know we can be together again, as she has since removed the house that she had with her ex husband out of the equation. She had to do this as when he found out about us, and as he is a jealous type was giving her hell. The house is now sold thus the main stranglehold he had on her has too. I want to get in touch with her, I'm going to call her at home, but I dont want to screw it up. Can any of you girls out there help me do it properly. I really care for her and her child, I love her and have'nt thought of anything else since we split up, and I dearly want her back. Help please!!!!!

My boyfriend is very nice to me and loves me very much but up until about a week & a half ago, he didn't treat me as good as I treat him. I told him how I felt & mentioned that he bought his old girlfriend flowers, something that he would never do for me because he's stingy w/ money.

Since we talked, there has been a huge improvement in how he treats me. He apologized / realized that I do give more than I get & that I deserve more. While I am very happy with how much he has improved, a part of me is still unsatisfied. I want everything to come from the heart, not because I asked him to treat me better.

Our relationship really is great except for this one thing, we never fight and love each other a lot.

Question- he sent me flowers on my birthday. Is it wrong of me to be a little disatisfied because I wish he could've sent them without me having to tell him to treat me better? It hurts a little because he's stingy with money when it comes to me but wasn't with his former g/f
