Ohh, and the dinner would be something Italian (My heritage), maybe chicken parmesan with spaghetti, wine and homemade tiramisu (1st attempt at the Tira). Afterward, a warm oil massage...

Well, you know.....I like the idea of a romantic home cooked dinner, becuase I think that it would mean more....You know, stuff like that takes more time and preparation.........More straight from the heart.....Sometimes it's the little things that are a lot more meaningful that the big extravagant present....( although I do LOVE diamonds...lol) But I would only expect a ring if he were asking me to marry him....other than that......the dinner would be PERFECT.........( as long as it's candlelight!)

It depends on the girl. If I came home and my fiance made me dinner I would be in shock - because he doesn't cook. Since he is my fiance - I did get the diamond ring. (And it is amazing.) But the thing I really enjoy about it is that every time I look at it I know he loves me and we're going to be together for the rest of our lives. I don't need anymore diamonds now.

But if you really want to wow your girl - do dinner and the ring (if it's an engagement). Doing something nice for the one you love is always appreciated (or it should be).

Does dinner come with candles and a hot rock massage.I have plenty of diamonds tucked away ia jewelry box, very few of the above.I'd take a romantic dinner anytime its more personal...Its the little things that count. Those memories last forever.

I am not a materialistic person and even I'd say... the diamond ring! Hell yeah! Of course, if I don't want mac-n-cheese with hot dogs in it I'd better be doing the cooking.

A diamond ring is nice, so is a meal cooked by your man. But what happens if he does it all the time? So, naturally I would love a mix up of something new. The diamond ring Naturally; ONLY b/c the man cooks for us all the time, so it is always special, but something just a little more special if he goes of his way to do a little more harder work just for you.

I don't think you can really compare the two.

A romantic home-cooked dinner can happen (and should happen) frequently.

A "big fat diamond ring" is special and breath-taking and I think, obviously, would be preferred by most women, not all, though.

The personal touch is what I like best. A romantic dinner is thoughtful and personal. A diamond is quick and easy and you can't buy love.

neither I need something original....how about an indoor picnic or sitting close together on an outcropping of rocks at the beach just holding me not saying anything...
material things don't matter something that comes from the heart that required actual thought and imagination mmmm now that's good.

I think that something like this would be nice..
Go to Victoria Secrets or Fredericks and buy some panties, bras, sexy stuff, some body lotions, bath stuff, and any other stuff you think she would like...
Take all this stuff.. get a basket.. put different color tissue paper in the bottom of the basket.. and then lay the stuff in the basket really nice.. and wrap it with the stuff u wrap baskets with.. or take it to a florist and ask them to set up the basket and wrap it.. they will charge you..
Hope she enjoys..
