You are only dating if you are 16, and I'd advise you--don't put the hammer lock on him yet! Your frequency of dating will be the biggest clue you are together--when you spend several days a week together, start talking about the future realistically and not in 'imagine this' terms, or actually verbalize an agreement to not see anyone else, then you are officially exclusive.

Until then, don't worry about official. I'd still see someone else if I'd been on two dates with someone. Sometimes I've met two facinating women and date them both for a while. I don't move toward any commitment until I am ready to move toward marraige--until that point I like keeping options open, for both my benefit and hers.

Bad things can happen in a relationship that gets exclusive too soon. Say I've been dating someone for two months, and she meets the most interesting guy. Should I force her to choose me or choose him (who she doesn't really know). Maybe she's just getting to know my faults, at a time when someone else gets her attention. I'd rather not force her to choose uninformed--I have to bet on myself, that after she gets to know the other guy better she'll pick me. When she doesn't know him but he sounds interesting--she could go with the unknown if forced into a decision.

I like to keep relationships open until it is time to make them permanent. If someone else makes my woman fall in love with them because I did this, who am I to stop love?

screw official titles! They make everything more complicated. Just let this wave take you where ever its going and enjoy the ride. When he starts to tell you how much he likes you and you do the same then you can tell him that you haven't dated anyone else since you guys started seeing each other. Hopefully he'll say the same thing. But if he doesn't at least he'll know where you stand and maybe that will prompt him to do the same thing. Plus he'll think you must be a great girl not to put so much pressure on him and who else could top you?

Best thing is always leave plenty of space at the start of a relationship. Give it a few more dates before getting into it.
Guys appreciate this. But don't play it too cool either!
Just let him know that you're into him and see how it developes.

hang in there.

Why ask? You don't think that 2 dates are "officially dating"?

Just go with the flow for now,it will soon become apparant whether or not you are "together" or not.But if you really like him, i would stop dating other men in the mean time and just consentrate on this one!! x

I don't think you should ask. Instead let things happen naturally. After two dates it is too soon to assume that you are exclusive, and may make you look needy.

You are dating. Anything over one date is dating.

Go on several dates, more than 3.
After the 4th date, things will happen if he likes you.
He will ask you to be his girl, or he will just try to sleep with you.
Just remember that sleeping early will lead you to tons of weaping, be sure HE will ask You.
