to get it. And I usually do get what I want, whether it be material items, technological gizmos, girlfriends, friends, my own way and I make the other people think it was their idea. When I feel that something is unfair, like when a store won't refund or replace a faulty product, i dig my heels in and create a scene until they eventaully give in. I always fight my own battles and don't let people walk all over me and I speak my own mind. However, I am a truly nice person and I would do anything for my friends and family.

I like a guy and I am unsure of whether he likes me back. We rarely speak, but most of the time he initiates a conversation with me. I'm not very popular and besides the one friend that I have, NO ONE talks to me. So, he's sort of special to me. Sometimes he'll talk to me, then other times he'll ignore me. So, when he does talk to me I treat him badly because of the fact that I don't want to be all nice, then he'll end up hurting my feelings. I don't know, I really like him ... so, what should I do? Ugh...I don't even know what I am asking. Just give me advice :/

Some girls and I were talking about whether it's ok to have sex with someone other than your future spouse before the wedding--a last chance, no-strings-attached fling before you're officially Not Single. Should/could you have a one night stand? If you do, should you tell your partner?

I'm not looking for condemnation or commendation, I'm looking for thoughts, opinions and insights. Serious answers only please.

what colors would you pick, why would u pick them, and what time of year would u get married. Guys, feel free to answer too. My favorite color is red, like a blue red, not an orange red, but I'm not coming up with a color that would go fantastic with it.

I am 25 and my husband is 35. I am getting to old for kids, and he is just about there to. I never wanted kids before, but in the past year I have been getting all moony over seeing mom's and daughters together. I am afraid I will miss out on something and regret it. But my husband and I never agree when it comes to raising his kids. If I have a child of my own I know it will be an issue on how we raise it together. Do I not do it for the sake of the kid and our marriage; should I do it and take a chance? What the hell do I do!?!

I have a very sweet step son who is ten, but he knows that his dad will let him do what ever he wants. Not necessarily because he is spoiled, but because dad will say yes to him to get him out of his hair, without really listening to what he is saying yes to. I often catch Daniel ( the son ) doing something I don't approve of (like playing a rated "M" game or watching a rated "R" movie in his room) because he knows asking his dad will get him what he wants, and I will tell him he can't do that. And he gets angry at me because dad said he could, but I said he can't. My husband refuses to change his behaviour, he doesn't think it's a big deal, in the mean time I am watching out for my sons well being, and looking like the bad guy. What can I do? There are no counselors in our small town, and my hubby has been this way for five years and constant fighting won't change his ways. I think Daniel is starting to hate me. =-(

I had an emotional affair with someone close to me and my husband. It ended over 2 months ago, but my husband just found out last saturday. I am devastated and am willing to do whatever it takes to keep our marriage alive. I ended the affair because i realised that i loved my husband more than life and i wanted to make our rocky marriage work. Is there any chance of a marriage surviving an emotional affair? I have no intentions of ever seeing the man again and my husband says he loves me and wants to believe nothing physical happened... so can this work out?

we were together for 8 years and she broke up with me 2 and a half months ago. At first things looked bad and she said she needed space and time to get her head together. I love her so much so respected her request gave her space and now we are slowly seeing each other again. We are kind of dating (dinner, bowling, having fun, all the usual stuff) and whilst i know she is not ready to come back yet she does talk of giving it another chance when she is ready. Her friends also say the same thing. I know for a fact she is not looking for anyone else, this really is about her finding her own independance again. She is going overseas for 10 weeks in a few months with friends and says she doesnt want to come back to the relationship before then. If she is keen and excited about seeing me and we are going out at least twice a week would you say this is possible to work out or does it all sound a bit strange? Honest opinions please, thanks.

ok ... so, theres a guy i liked since 7th grade, and i knew from the moment i met him that he was going to be "something" to me. i just couldnt figure it out ... then feelings came. In 8th grade, we went out for about 6 months. i knew i loved him!! but i was always too afraid to tell him, thinking that he may not feel the same. well, he ended up breaking up with me, and the reason is still unknown. this happened a year ago, and i just still cant get over it ... is it to late to confront him?? even if it isnt, i dont know if i'll be confident enough to do that. on top of that, i am still in love with him, and i never liked anyone more than i liked him ... what can i do? by the sweet looks he still gives me, i feel like he still likes me ... but we havent talked since that breakup, and again, i dont think i'm confident enough for it! i need serious help with this!

A friend has been living with a man for over 10 years, were never married, and they have a child together. They are now experiencing BIG TIME problems. I'm sure that they would have got a divorce if they had been married. Does she have a "lawful" leg to stand on? How do the courts look at this? When they part ways, does she have any rights or are they forfeited? I don't know if the laws differ state to state, but they live in Illinois. What are or are not her rights (or lack of.) Thanks.

while he is living with his mom ( I am the step mom ) and the mom is joining in on the bashing rather than correcting it ( things said are like "I don't like dad any more.", all because dad refuses to buy the kid everything he wants, because he chose to live with his mom, should I tell my husband? Or would it be to hurtful and cruel to say something and just keep my mouth shut?

A friend of my family asked me to come over to her house for dinner next weekend. She specifically said we would have a fancy dinner and that she would be in a dress and pantyhose and that I should be dressed accordingly. She knows I have always had an attraction to pantyhose (she caught me once witha pair when I was young), so I don't think it's a coincidence. And, she has never asked me to have dinner with her alone. I am in my twenties and she is much older. I recently started seeing someone and though we are not officially bf/gf I think this would be a problem. But, if I am wrong and I said no to dinner because I thought she was trying to seduce me, I might be wrong and then feel stupid....plus, I am a little turned on by the whole thing. Need some advice.

I have tried to make a friend who is the opposite sex at work. It has been fairly one-sided. I believe it to be that way because their is a significant age difference and a difference in culture. It appears to me that I always intiate the conversation and iniate going out to eat. This person has not had any stability in their life and trying to be a good 'solid' friend in hopes that it will benefit to them. Now... this person has left the company to take care of a family member back in there hometown. Before the left they notified me they are leaving but didn't say what the new company was or what the new position was. I believe it was to encourage me to ask them about the new job. I did not respond. Recently I received a text message. Since it was international I didn't know it was sent because I never recieved it (int'l text is unrelaible) Do I respond by saying I checked my cell bill and notice I received a text from your number? I never got it. What did it say?
