I'm afraid I'm getting my child in the bed too late. I realize that I'm a busy-body and crawl into bed around 12 a.m. and usually my child wants to be up with me...which is not good. I don't want this to be reflected at school the next day. I've never set a bed-time but I need to do it ASAP and then stick to it. So...what is the best time to put my child to bed?

She's going through that famous thing of ''confused emotions'', but she said the only things causing it are being back in school around new ppl and guys again and the fact i've last longer than any relationship she's ever had, this past week I tried to make a move to kiss her and well she told me I'd have to wait...and so I said okay I'll be patient and wait till your ready no matter how long it takes, but do any of you have any advice from personal experiences?

My boyfriend of several years has been taking me for granted, being selfish & putting everything & everyone before me. I have been trying to pull away, detach, and focus on other things in my life. He said all summer that we were going to go places and do things but we never did. We dont live together. My girlfriend & I booked a trip & my plane leaves Friday. I have been telling him that I was going for weeks. He called me today, & acts surprised when I told him I was packing for my trip! (I havent heard from him in 2 days). I guess he thought I was lieing about going & this was just another one of my games to get him to pay attention to me. Now he is saying he wants to see me before I go. Lately he acts like he could care less if I was dead or alive. And then he says can we have sex before you go so you wont forget about me! Why all the concern now? Should I just go & not see him before I leave? Should I call while I am away? Maybe this will open his eyes... HELP

my friend wants to go to the same college as me. i don't want her to. she is too clingy and pessamistic about everything. i want to get away from her and thought that going to a private college would distract her from going. (i really really REALLY want to go to this college ~St. Mary's University in Winona, MN ~ the college would be great for me, and i know i'm supposed to be there.) my friend would get nothing out of it and i know would blame me for it. the only reason that she wants to go is b/c i'm going. she still thinks that we're bestfriends, but in all reality we haven't been in four years. i've changed dramaically, but she hasn't even walked a step toward change. she brings everyone and everything down. i can understand her viewpoint, but she needs to break free and be on her own for once. she can't see that i'm not going to always be there for her. how do i tell her "no"? i dont want to hurt her feelings, but she needs to know that i don't want her there with me.

ok i come home from school (im in high school) and my stepdad's like did you go upstairs and im like "no" so he was like come with me and we went up stairs to my room and i see all my clothes from the dirty clothes hamper on my floor. he tells me some of my clothes arent dirty so from now on i will have to wash your clothes because you dont know the differnence between dirty and clen! wtf im like man f**k u u are not my dad. but here is my question: why is he going threw my stuff!!!!!!!!!

My boyfriend took me out w/ my friends for my birthday. When we get to the club , the hostess walks us over to our table, which was for two people and we needed it for five. My boyfriend talks to the hostess and she isn't cooperating. So I step in and begin to talk to her to see if we could get everything straightened out. I begin to feel someone pinching my thigh. Its my boyfriend, I turn and look at him and he says to me "nikki just shut up or ur going to get us kicked out" in front of the waitress. He turns to the waitress and asks for his credit card back b/c we are leaving. We get outside and we begin to argue all the way back to his place. I get my overnight bag and before I walked out I told him to get his H.S. diploma, and I left. (He never graduated from H.S.) We haven't spoken since, its been 1month. I don't know if I will ever hear from him again. What do you think?

I am not a prejudice person and I am not raceist either, but I have a slight problem regarding who I date for the simple fact that I am jewish. I have a friend from college that I like very much, and I would like to ask him out but there is a fear of going too far. I can be accepting when it comes to others but my problem is that my family would never be accepting or ever come to accept anything of such nature. I love my family and I would never want to hurt them in anyway or lose them. So I am pretty much unsure of what to do. Should I take the chance which doesnt mean it it will lead anywhere?

His Pros: He works approx.16 hours per day/7 days a wk, pays all bills 4 last 9 months since wife has health issues. His cons: He has custody of 5 kids (2 R over 18). He refuses to help w/behavior of his children; he never spends time with his wife 1 on 1 even before children came to live w/them, when she was working. He thinks marriage should be on auto-pilot. Her Pros: She's the only adult member of house who's not illiterate. She does all of the paperwork for the home, helps w/homework for all kids (none of which are her's biologically), goes to PTA , attends parent teacher conferences, chauffeurs kids wherever they need to go (when/if he allows her to use his vehicle since they only have one). She does all of husband’s paperwork, taxes, negotiations w/employers, etc. Her cons: 2 yrs ago (yr 3 of marriage) she started to drink and, now needs 10 beers a day not even to get a buzz, just to keep away DTs and horrific scarry hallucinations. Who's the most screwed in this situation?
