Time and time again they tell us here in the south UK wil be floaded due to global warming melting the ice increasing the sea level but......
Well I just went to drink my glass of water that I had added plenty of ice, (nearly half the glass) imagine how I felt 'cause I had forgotten about it and that all the ice had melted. My vision of water everywhere due to the massive increase in drinks level due the the melting ice
Imagine my surprise to find the level had actually decreased and there was no water spilling over the edge of the glass onto the table. Phew!! lucky those scientist have got it all wrong again!!

Try this experiment yourself and post the results

This may seem a bit of a stupid question, but have you ever went outside in the morning (either for a walk or just to get some air) and you hear this sound that sort of sounds like a hose sprinkler? Is there some type of bug or bird out there making that noise, and if so, what type of bug or bird might that be?

I know they're completely different from each other, but I'm extremely interested in both areas. Is it possible to double major in them (or major in one and minor in the other)?

I just came back from visiting a friend over in UCLA who has friends majoring in English and minoring in Geology.

Is it just too weird or impractical to do this? Are there any careers or graduate programs that both could be useful in (perhaps Environmental Law and Policy)? Input would be most helpful!

Well don't do it! All the paper and other waste material gets stuck round the brick preventing a proper flush.

My son and I are vacationing in the Sonora Desert near Phoenix, and he is interested in observing arachnid life here (which is evidently quite diverse)-Does anyone know the best method of finding the different species, and what time, area, microhabitat we should look for? Thank you very much

more and more species are becoming extinct disturbing the eco-cycle. As forests are cut temperature is increased and rain is uneven.

I prefer to boil my water, for making a pot of tea, by using a kettle on the gas ring of my cooker. I also own an electric kettle, which my husband prefers to use, if he is making the tea. I was wondering which is the cheaper option and kinder to the environment?
