Look at the following graph of CO2 to world temperature.

http://www.whole-systems.org/co2.html

Is this happening?
Is this real?
Is this a problem?

Only you can decide.

My answer: Yes...big time
And it isn't slowing down. Its getting worse.

Global warming is a naturally occuring phenomenon. This planet has gone through numerous heating and cooling cycles.

Whether or not human activity is accelerating the current warming trend, well, we probably are. But the would still be in a warming trend had the industrial revolution never occurred.

Anyway, no, not a problem for the world. A serious looming problem for humans, sure, but this rock has been spinning around the sun for 4-1/2 billion years and will continue to do so long after mankind becomes extinct.

It is a problem, but a good thing as well. For example, vast areas of Asia and North America will become more able to support agriculture. With the additional warmth, fish will be more plentiful in the northen oceans.

It is actually normal for the earth to be a little warmer. The bad thing is that it has been through ice ages of late. I don't understand why everyone is so upset.

The cause of global warming on this planet, is not mainly from human activity. The increase in heat is from the Sun. The sun is a variable star. At this point, it is giving more energy than it normally does. (Duhh....look at your satillite data...look at the sunspot record!).

The ice caps on Mars are melting because of this and humans have had very little to do with Mars (now, anyway).

Enjoy life.

Yes and No.
It is really happening, but it has slowed down drastically since the world became environmentally conscious.
Also the world's weather and temperature patterns have been on a cycle since the beginning of time, you know like the Ice Age? So although it is a problem, sort of, it is simply a natural occurrence kind of like El Nino and La nina for weather.
So all the hype is not to be believed, but yes on a global scale, there is Global Warming.

I think global warming is a very real and dynamic problem for all of us. not only can it effect the weather around us, but where we will live due to the changes in our geography.

I also believe that our seasonal weather will become even more violent than we have seen in our past. Changing the very way in witch we build our homes.

Not only is global warming related to our weather but in the very way we choose to live our lives. Our faults in not being responsible for our actions and how we create waste in all that we do is going to change not by our choice but by the way nature changes us.

One thing your going to need to remember is that global warming is so dynamic as all of this comes true imagine oceans 200 feet higher stronger hurricanes more violent tornadoes serious droughts in mid America. perhaps longer winters in the northeast blizzard like how many will die in cities due to the weather or because of Famine then if that's not enough remember that a pandemic could still sweep over the lands as this occurs

This is the full global warming event i see. I don't look at it from a doom and gloom stand point or the end of the world like the religious do i just see changes.

Global warming is a real problem for the world for the same reason that a host of other environmental problems are real. Humanity, now and in the foreseeable future, is the overwhelming variable affecting the livable portion of planet earth and we aren't acting like it yet.
Humans and livestock are overwhelmingly the large animals on earth. Most of the vegetation on land is planted and harvested by humans. Most of the ocean's productivity is harvested by humans. Most of the change in atmospheric chemistry is due to humans. Our planet shines at night so brightly that you could notice it from the nearest star, just from humanity's wasted light. We determine all of this by our collective actions, intended or not.
In the entire history of humanity, our waste management has lagged. Most of the gain in human longevity of the 20th century was due to better waste management and better management of the disease effects of bad waste management. The CO2 that we put into the atmosphere is our single largest waste product, and has global consequences not just for the climate, but for the ocean.

Absolutely is! Forget about any wars, terrorism, .... Global warming may cause a serious situation that is related to a matter of existence or extinction of our civilization. Simply put, a matter of life or death for every single life on earth. Wish We Still Have Time to Reverse the Doomed Trend.

NO The main concept is that we are burning lots of fissile fuels ,that part is true but amount of energy that is produced is a drop in the ocean. The following is not true, that this has produced billions of cf. of CO2 ,or should I say where did it go .If u measure it u can find 1 or 2 parts per million . what are they missing beside a billion cf. of CO2. No we have a simbiotic relation with all the green plants which take in CO2 and put out OX. ,and I should point out that our green friends are doing a great job. If the CO2 is not there then global warming is not so.

It's a real problem for the world, especially since the world refuses to acknowledge what a problem it really is. We are not preparing ourselves for the consequences of global warming, whether it's accelerated by human activity or it simply takes its cyclical course in nature. -RKO-

Whether you think people are contributing or not, the sea level is still rising, desertification is increasing, climate patterns are changing, if the poles warm up, the supply of nutrient-rich arctic water upwelling along the pacific coasts will stop (we've already experienced this just from wind reversals causing el nino).

I don't think it's possible that we are not contributing to global warming, but I also don't think we are the exclusive cause.

Yes. I don't see how it can't be. Doesn't it make sense for the balance of nature to be messed up when other things are put into it? Now, is it going to be a problem in our lifetime? Don't know. Will we do something about it? Hope so. I just don't get when so many don't have any respect for this planet and think it's just here to be used.

I mean just a minuscule change in many things can have disastrous results. Think about your insides - if one cell starts to mutate - ONE CELL!
