Yes. Even if a human doesn't hear it, that waves are still created, and other animals detect it. Even no creature detects it, the sound wave still occurs following the laws of classical mechanics. And unlike quantum mechanics, where observation can affect the outcome, in classic mechanics it is rarely relevant.

The answer is no. The tree does not make a sound. Sound does not just consist of sound waves it also requires something to detect it. If there are no ears then there is no sound.

I think this question was posed and answered by a great scientist who was also a philosopher(I don't remember his name right now). Sound is just vibrations and without a sensor to sense it cannot be heard.
