Due to human effort. Whale was declared endangered species and protected.

I assume you mean why, when so many other large species have? I think being warm blooded and very intelligent has been the secret to whale survival, many of the large die offs have been the result of climate change and mammals are less effected then fish or reptiles.

Whales are not alien they are the species of choice for earth we are parisites on the whales asses and are not worthy of mention!

well akansha.......the whales also were on the verge of extinction as many other extincted species......but our dutiful-late minded scienticts came 2 know their importance ....n started protecting them....declaring them endangered n also r monitoring them through radio callers etc.......

I would think they are here because their food sorce is still plentiful. But you have to wonder how anything can survive in the oceans today with all "our waste by product getting emptied into the sea".
I hope they don't die out in my life time - thats not likely
