I'm doing a presentation about Shakespeare in Japan and plan to mention such things as Akira Kurosawa's films retelling famous Shakespeare tales. I need legitimate academic sources to use in the presentation that might be able to help me out.

I see time and again how cuts are being made in education. PLUS the NCLB act has bascally ruined the edcuation system.
Teachers bring alot of work home. (unpaid)
The plus side is they get alot of vacation.
So , when weighing both sides...teachers,, would really like to see you son, daughter, sister, brother, mother, father, aunt, uncle, cousin, niece , or nephew go to college for four years and work in the field of Public Education?

I teach high school students. I am so tired on putting on a false personality all of the time. I have to pretend that I am someone I am not and act like someone I am not. I have to watch every word I say so that I don't get into trouble. I AM a good person but I have to "walk on eggshells" in my classes for fear of saying or doing something not "perfect". I find that by doing this for so long, it carries into my home/personal life. I don't remember who I am anymore until I get together with old friends from BEFORE I started teaching. It is like..wow, I can be myself again, or wow, there is the old me! Anyone else feel this way?

Right so I'm at uni, about to finish 2nd yr, I'm not enjoying it at all. I think I'm failing the course and haven't got the motivation to do any of the work I'm so far behind on. I'm really temted to quit, because it feels like such a waste of time, but don't know what I'd do if I did, and am sure that I'd regret it soon after I had. Should I try and struggle on or just quit and try something else, if so what? (any motivational speech's would also be much appreciated!)

Student is older woman from Middle Eastern country. She became angry when asked for test back. It was the end of class and she had been given extra time. In her mind, she had been "promised" that she would be given time to finish the test. She was embarrassed at not having completed the test. But all students are treated equally and the class was ending. Suggestions? Thanks.

Hello,
In our present education system senario it is very difficult studies and so much burden on students to educate and being a greaduate. Books are becoming some-some unupdated that they dont have modern information in many cases.

Computer education is not so effective and is like something special, education boards does not have a compact policy for a better eucation services.

Students are becoming very depresed after results, no hope or enjoyness for them and it allso lead in some very serious casualties. Childrens have to carry weighty school bag more than there 50% body weight. Early morning students go school at 7 am return at 2 pm, than eat food and do homework or go tution 4pm return at 6pm, if some homework has been given by the tutuon teacher too they finish it after 8pm, where is the life or play time for them?

Some good and bad is allways there in any system, we have some good too in our education system but what can we improve more and how?

I will soon be interviewing for multiple school systems in the hopes of landing a lateral entry position in North Carolina. I am very nervous about the interviews because I am passionate about teaching and I am afraid I will ruin my chances with a bad interview. I think what worries me the most is that I am a lateral entry hire (meaning I have a history degree, not an education degree, which is acceptable in NC) and I am currently traveling/living in New Zealand. I have been out of the United States since my graduation from college in May 2006, traveling and working throughout the world. I have been corresponding with the various school systems for a while now, and they know my situation. But, I do not know what kind of questions they will ask, so I do not even know where to begin preparing for the interview. Anyone have any tips or advice for me as I will be interviewing in about a month? ANY HELP IS WELCOME!

It makes me crazy when I substitute teach in pre-K and kindergarten classes in schools in poor neighborhoods and the emphasis is on lining up quietly. The emphasis should be on constantly reading to these kids, who will NOT get it at home. I will be student-teaching in the fall, and then will be a certified teacher. I want to read to the class while lining up for recess, which will not work. But how can I get in lots of reading time around the time constraints?

All right, so we're going to move to a different class a few days later, but how do I tell the teacher I want to sit next to a girl? WE HAVE ASSIGNED SEATS EVERYTIME AND YOU CAN'T TALK OR MOVE ANYWHERE FURTHER THAN LIKE 5 METERS. Please tell me. I need a good reason.
