We just previewed a web based resource called Classworks by Curriculum Advantage. It seems like an excellent product to use for remediation in math and language arts. Does anyone out there have any experience with the product and the company? I would appreciate some feedback.

the song "when you love a woman" by Journey has a piano intro in it. i have to learn how to play it in 2 days. i can't read music unfortunately so i can't look for sheets online. i'd really appreciate it if anyone of you could tab out the notes and chords into letters like. "here he plays Am -G then to F and he plays notes g, f, a,b, and c" or something like that
to all you smart and experienced piano players out there, you'll think of something right? thanks sooo much i really appreciate the help

I am a teachers aide in a 9h grade class and I was given the task of helping 2 students who arent doing too well. They do absolutely nothing and when I asked them why they didnt do anything, they said it was because they feel they couldnt pass the class. How do I motivate them to work? I cant let them fail.

I'm a nursery nurse at the mo and have nearly finished my level 5 HNC (Higher national cert in childcare) i'm getting a little fed up of being a nursery nurse and am thinking of going into teaching. I would need to still work full time so would need to do a foundation degree after this, then a degree and then a PGCE which would take max 5 yrs. I'm 23 nearly and will be wanting to start a family soon. Would i be able to cope with college work and a baby?

Two years ago I was forced to surrender my teacher's certification because I purchased alchohol for a 19 year old. He was NOT a student, but we were having an adult relationship. I was 26 at the time. His mother told. I have ended that relationship since that time. I have not done anything illegal since then. I have also been working on getting my certification back. I was a good teacher. I love teaching. Do you think the state board of educators will give it back?

With the overcrowding of suburban schools, are you a teacher without your own classroom? If so, how does this affect your job performance? How does it affect your students?

I am a teacher and my principal is constantly coming in and out of my class. Often surprise visits and is always finding something wrong. Usually small things but she likes to blow things out of proportion. Sometimes she manages to humililate me in front of the students. I take her with a grain of salt but it gets annoying. Have any other teachers experienced this?

I've been keeping track of what my teacher has been doing. She always stares at me, and when i catch her staring, she'll smile. She takes up for me most of the time if someone has something to say about me. One day she was teasing me for no reason. Sometimes, she tries to get into my business, i guess to get a more in depth view of me. Even her husband knows my name and stuff and knows who i am since he visited the school, but we were never introduced. One day, i went into her classroom, and she was talking on the phone with him, and she asked me a question, then she told her husband, " oh, i was just asking abby a question." Why does she act like this? Am i like a special person to her or what? I'm a girl by the way.

There's a teacher I really want to thank. He's really helped me in math last semester, and gave me a new sense to believe in myself, because i always had trouble in math. I really would like to thank him, but i dont know quite what to say, and im afraid it might be awakward for the both of us. I don't want to freak him out.

What do you think?

Recently our high school math teacher dropped everyone's grade 20 points by giving us all zeros on one of our tests. She did this becuase some dumb*** wrote some rude comment on a paper and she dropped us all down 20 pts becuase no one wanted to admit who it was. Is it right that our teacher deducted 20 pts from all our grades and i'd like to know if she's broken any rules.
If it helps i go to a catholic high school and my grade went from an A to a B
