I'm currently ranked #3 in my class, I have straight A's on my transcript so far and i'm a Junior in high school. I have run into some conflicts with my AP language teacher this semester and her grading method. I got straight A's in my AP language class last semester but now I have a really mean teacher that insists on criticizing the teaching methods of my former teachers. She has given me a D+ on my first progress report of the semester which has angered me considering I have always had straight A's. I refuse to admit that my in class essays deserve a D. She claims to have graded my essay lightly. This is ridiculous because a D- is not grading lightly. I'm sick of putting an honest effort into my work and her giving me terrible grades that she refuses to change. This lady spends most of the class period discussing her religious and political beliefs.
Now comes the question.....Should I stand up to her the next time she criticizes one of my former teachers and put my grades at risk?

I kinda like it, only in art and reading. I hate math and most science. Do you like school? I rather be eating dead lizards than be at school.

Hi I'm critiqueing and article about the low-levels of book spending in the primary school and need to know why the NLS was originally introduced. Was it mainly to put more focus on reading or was this not a large part of it? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I have been teaching middle school/high school for 5 years now, and I am getting frustrated with all the cut backs. Next year I will be down from .8 of full time, to .5. I am wondering if there are any other jobs/careers that my experience and degree would be compatible with? Thanks!

My kids are doing a research paper & the library has limited resources. Are there any web sites (that do not require a subscription) that are user friendly to find info on people, events (US & world), daily life, etc.?

I'm learning English. My English teacher taught me that "what are you doing?" had the same meaning as "what is being done by you?" ( sentences rewriting exercise ). Is it popular??? I think "what is being done by you?" is really weird, right :D??? I am not sure, because I don't speak English. So please, help me with this problem. Thank you so much!!!

Can any school teachers or librarians recommend good resources for a doing a general overview of "world history" with students limited to 2nd grade reading ability? This is going to be used with students who have both ESL and learning disability concerns. Any fun/appropriate social studies suggestions are welcome, but I would love to find at least one non-Eurocentric resource, as this will be used in an international school setting. Developmental appropriateness and cultural diversity matter more in this case than academic accuracy. Any ideas are appreciated.
