a lot of the racist mentality has to do with the upbringing of a person... i think that if teachers continue to embrace tolerance, students won't adopt a racist mentality, but if you have the scenario in which when these students get home and all they hear is racist remarks then the teachings they get at school are sometimes useless. i've heard of certain ppl who have actually grown up in a racist household and when they got to explore all the beauty of the different cultures that exist their racist views actually went away!check this question i posted!! hopefully you can get some answers

As an African American teenager I have all to often been told of the way that my people were treated. In my U.S. History class we covered the civil rights movement for a long time.....and get this, I was taught by a white teacher. For some of my classmates the fact that we were seeing what happened to our people pissed them .Some of them even turned their backs to our teacher and refused to talk to her for something that she didn't in partake in. Racism is a touchie subject. Some people say that it doesn't exist anymore, while others say it is alive and well. So I think when we are being taught about the cruel things that happened/are happening to people of any creed, nationality, or color we should take heed to the information at hand, and try to do everything in our power to change the world!!!

I don't think that's something you could ever write "as a matter of fact," because that sort of thing is all based on opinions and the types of students in the classroom (and how easily influenced they could be). And generally, I would think teachers don't teach racism in a positive light, but maybe that's just my lucky experience - and I'm pretty sure it would get them fired.
But if you do write about this, I think you meant "racist," not "racious."

When writing an essay, don't make up a bunch of hypotheticals. If you can't find factual information on which to base your assumption, then don't make the assumption at all. I for one have never read any research that supports the idea that teaching about racism leads to racist students.

Beware of teachers who teach you to think like they do. Cherish the ones who teach you to think for yourself.
