My kids are doing a research paper & the library has limited resources. Are there any web sites (that do not require a subscription) that are user friendly to find info on people, events (US & world), daily life, etc.?

These are just a few. I had to do a project when I was getting my Masters in Ed. I had to write a webpage with links to some of the best history sites I could find and review them. I had tons on my page so I know there is a bunch out there for your students.

www.loc.gov
The Library of Congress has digitalized tons of information from American History.
