participation is important because when you interact with new knowledge, you learn it better than when you don´t. you remember it better, become more interested in it. in short the whole learning experience becomes more rewarding when you participate.

1. Active learning. The more active you are, the more you will learn.
2. Why go to class if you're just going to sit there and do nothing? You won't get those hours of your life back.
3. It shows the teacher that you want to do well, which is a good characteristic to have. It will get you raises in a job.
4. A sense of accomplishment (you took on the challenge)

I'm curious if you are a student or a teacher. :)

Unless you have serious intentions to stop living or being poor and unemployed, then please, pay attention; participate.

engaging at school we could the instructor comprehend which you're paying interest and are engaged interior the class. some instructors supply a grade for this, even although i don't see the thank you to grant a grade for this -- i don't supply a participation grade in my seventh grade technological awareness type.

So that you can actually learn something, and so that you aren't doing something else that would distract your fellow students from learning/the teacher from teaching.
