Your teacher is mean to you for some reason... doesn't indicate that it's your fault. He/she could just be mean.

My strategy as an ex student with teachers that were mean to me and an ex-teacher known both as well loved and most hated and a daddy of three students is (please ignore the run-on sentence... this wasn't a grammar question after all):

1) Keep yourself on the high road. Behave well, be polite and do your work. This takes away any of your weight in this deal.

2) Talk to your parents about what is going on, and be honest... don't add extras to your story to make it look worse.

3) Talk to your favorite teacher or counselor about what's going on. they are more likely to know the story behind the story and be able to help.

You deserve to be safe, respected and actually taught in your classroom. You have the responsibility to not endanger others, show respect and put out the effort to learn.

If you're keeping up your end of the bargain and your teacher isn't, it's time to raise a little ruckus- but do it right. Go through your parents and counselor.

Best of luck.

are you sure it is for no reason? if so, talk to him-her in a calm way. Explain that you have the feeling that she-he has a problem with you and you really wish to know what you did , so you can change the situation. Tell her-him that it makes you sad not to have a good relation. Do that when the other students have left the room already and giver her-him time to answer. LISTEN carefully to the answer. Now, that might sound to you that you make yourself a fool, but it will work. and you will get your teachers respect for acting like a wise person.

Well, the chances that he hates you without reason are little. But, even if he dislikes you, there is something you can do to prove your 'innocence' and show him that he is irrational. Just, try to be good in his lesson, try not to make noise, and try to make him feel friendly for you. For example, when you see him in a break, you can say "hi" to him. If you see that these dont work, just go and find him during a break, talk to him, ask him why is it so, and im sure things will be better. I know cause i had a similar experience with a techer.

Well, all these if ur really innocent!!! I hope my answer covered you.!

I'm a teacher. Usually, when a students tells me that I'm being mean, I'm just doing my job.

So that you won't be confused, here's a list of things that are not mean, just my job:
1. making you stay in your seat
2. insisting that you do your homework and classwork
3. not allowing you to disrupt others
4. calling your parents if you're not working to potential
5. giving you the grade you have earned
6. calling on you to answer a question
7. requiring you to take notes
8. not giving you a pass every day to the bathroom, guidance, to go back and get your jacket, or whatever else you think up to get out of class.
9. requiring you to come to class prepared and giving you a 0 if you don't
10. not giving you candy because you got an answer right
11. not giving you a pizza party because your class passed a test
12. not giving work for a day because you want me to "be a nice teacher"
13. not lending you things like money, pencils, paper, etc.
14. making sure that there are consequences for your bad behavior.
15. insisting that you remain awake during class.

Teachers are just like that. They just dislike a student for no good reason. I've seen it a lot where I work. Then they have the nerve to tell the parents they don't know why the student feel that why. The stories I've heard in the teachers lounge. Just do your best and what is expected of you.

I'm a teacher too, and Rhumba has it down. We aren't mean just to be mean. You have to have a reason to make us give you consequences. Or maybe we really do believe in you and are not seeing you live up to your potential. That really can make me crazy sometimes when I see a really good kid fall to peer pressure.

We can't help if you don't give specific reasons WHY your teacher is mean. Could it be because you're not thorough enough in your answers? I bet your teacher has explained his/her actions towards you. You're either too daft to pick up on it, or you weren't paying attention.

If there really is a problem, you should talk to your parents or maybe the principal. Otherwise, you're just coming across as a whiner who got caught doing things you shouldn't.

FOR "NO" REASON?..... I highly doubt it!
You are probably more "BLIND" to yourself and your own annoying ways, than your Teacher is mean!
