I've found the basic government aid that everyone is entitled to, but I understand that math and science teachers are in extremely high demand and there are many programs available to help them earn their degrees, but I can't find them.

I'm a 27 white male with no children, just finishing up my first semester.

It has been found more often than not that Teachers who are supposed tto explain each and everything in the classroom do not do so and advise the students or their guardians to take private tutions for better performance. Is it not abusing his or her position? Moreover those students who do not take such tutions score less. The compensation asked for such (must voluntary service) is quite high

Does anyone else besides me, feel the pressure to learn more than they are possibly able to these days?

Does it feel like your mind will explode trying to learn all you need to survive in this world?

Are we trying to learn too much these days for people to be able to digest?

I am 24 years old, with a master's in English and one in Management. While I once wanted to be a college professor, I now think I might be better suited to high school. Does my MA inhibit me from finding work in a high school because of the higher salary draw?

Also, I wonder if I ought to restrict myself exclusively to looking at private schools, or if I am better off putting in the time and money getting licensed by the state. If I decide to go back to school, what is the most productive career for me to pursue while I am doing so?

I heard that if you are going for a public school teaching job, they might be less likely to hire you if you already have a masters degree because they will have to pay you more. I just finished my student teaching and my MAT requirements last semester. Will I be at a disadvantage?

I am a bilingual first grade teacher. I teach reading in both English & Spanish . I am having a hard time finding free websites in Spanish for my kids to play educational games. I would prefer sites that focus on reading and phonics. (The big 5: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, fluency) Any help woud be greatly appreciated!!!

Okay, in my class we're learning about ancient Egypt. So, my teacher was all, "Ra, the sun god, and Amen, the big kahuna god, combined and are now recognized as Amen-Ra." So I said," Shouldn't they be called Ramen?" The class burst out laughing, and I got a Bag-It, a piece of paper which enables you to pick up trash afterschool until 6 pm. Isn't that unfair?!?!

All through the waiting period i heard fellow students saying "oh i'm taken AP (advanced placement) Pre-cal, or Honors English 11. Why don't we take classes that can actually help us in the real world? I shouldn't have to take a class like History unless i'm going to be a historian right? (not black history,
