In Calgary a first-year teacher with six years of university (four undergrad then a two-year BEd) would start at $51,500 or so. It's less for people who only do four-year Ed degrees.

An Alberta teacher i think makes about 40-45K a year for a first year 1 degree but that is in part to our economy
