At my work there are a few parents and our children are all in different school districts, so my children could wear their costumes, and the other ladies children could not. What's the deal? Does it change from district to district?

Is a school comitting Fraud if they are asking parents to claim there entitlement for free school meals and milk then once it is awarded telling the parents there children can no longer have the free meals or milk as there children didnt eat them on 2nd day.
There are many children that are entitled but all on packed lunch sent from home. only paying pupils seam to be staying for cooked dinners.
Is it true that scholls also get extra finance for the number of children on low income families.

I know a 3rd grade teacher who works at a catholic school, I know this person is a user of drugs "pot" on most weekends and some weeknights after school the floor of his apartment building stinks of the stuff. I'm curious as to what if anything should happen to this guy? should people notify the school, police or just let it go? I know many of his neighbors are fed up with the stink he makes and are trying to get him kicked from the building.

Books for 10th Grade Class?
I teach a year-long 10th grade English class and would like to add a new novel to our curriculum. I'd like something from a world culture other than the US, as the majority of the novels I have are set in the US. Currently we read (for novels) Of Mice and Men, A Separate Peace, and Z for Zachariah. These are very different in terms of difficulty, but they all work well in terms of discussion and analysis.

In general, I'd like a novel that would appeal to the age group and be about 200 (give or take) pages. In addition, it has to be a novel that will encourage discussion (vs. one that would be read more for just entertainment). Finally, as much as I would love to include Mockingbird or Lord of the Flies, or Gatsby, these are all taken by other curriculums in the school.

Thanks for any input!

Every since I've started school not so much my primary but secondary it looks like noone actually wanted me to succede at anything.
At Primary, I did SATs they put us for the test but they wouldn't let anyone do a level six paper in my class. The year after I learnt that I got 99% in my test and if I had actually done the level six paper I would have got a 6 I instead got a 5.
Then In secondary I was put in a class of trounble makers and losers. Not in the sense that they didn't fit into the group but that no one actually had any ambition or sense of direction.
then in year nine SAT again the teachers chose four students to tutor because they thought they would excel. I wasn't one of them. I was predicted a 5 for everything.
I got three sixies.
These aren't the only things but now I'm in college I asked a teacher if there was anyway I could improve my coursework and they told me to jsut leave it and try to do well in the exam, I got a B.

I got three sixes.
