I have met several home schooled children in my life, and I find that they are quite different from other kids. Are parents who choose homeschooling actually doing their children a disservice?

the high school I am going to is boring. It is also too small. I do not have any electives and I want to get into an ivy college. Do ivy colleges accept you more if you have a lot of grades to evaluate you on? The school I am going to has only six classes that I am taking so that is only six grades. If I switch schools I will have about 10 grades. The other school I might switch to has over 2500 people and there is a big drug problem there. 2 people have gotten sttabbed and 2 people have gotten arrested. Should I switch?

I tried to stop this short, obese, 6th grader (who's been left back to do the fact he does nothing in class but talk, disturb and bully others).
He will use his weight to push past a teacher or a security guard if you attempt to stop him from doing what he wants to do.
Mentally, he's retarded. A PC term might be "learning challenged" or "special needs" but basically, he refuses to work and since he's in middle school the school can't just kick him out.

I have had plenty of problems with him - as well as every other teacher he has. When I recently attempted to stop him from misbehaving, he raised a fist to me.

At that point, I knelt down and spoke to him in his ear whispering:

LISTEN TO ME, DON'T EVEN EVER THINK OF HITTING ME - cause if you do - I WILL LOSE MY JOB AFTER I'VE KILLED YOU.

How would you handle this situation?
The A.P's and DEAN are just building a paper trail on him so they can pass him onto another school in the so called "pass the trash" system.
