I am in an Honors freshman English class. My class only read what was in our reading books, which was about forty pages of the actual book The Odyssey (that explains the reference pg. #s in 800's).

Topic: I chose to defend that Odysseus changed from his journey.

Theme: I chose to incorporate in my discussion that "experience shapes us and forces us to reconsider our perceptions of the world."

Main points of 3 body paragraphs:
1. Changed qualities of Odysseus
2. Lessons Odysseus learned
3. Rewards Odysseus receives and earns from the gods

I will introduce my essay in paragraphs, and a new paragraph starts when I state it does.

By the way, my essay is about three pages long when double-spaced on Microsoft Word with a size 12 Times New Roman Font.

i am in college and i am horrible at math.i am taking classes with my sister who is terrific with math.we have to take 3 classes just to get to college algebra, we took one during summer and were on the second.she wont help to tutor me and she gets ugly and rude and just horrible with me i guess cause she doesnt want to help me. when youre trying to understand something should your tutor stare at you and look at you like you are a moron and wonder what is wrong with you because you do not understand something. it makes to scared to want to get tutoring from our teacher who offered. i feel really stupid what should i do?

I did horrible on a Math test. I've been reviewing my work all week and studied for so long..and I still did bad. This gave me a major confidence blow because I've worked so hard for a good mark and I still did bad. Can someone please help...I feel like I should give up completely and just get bad marks with low expectations rather than recieve a bad mark with good expectations...What should I do? Anyone ever felt this way before? What did you do?

We had conferences last night for my 8th grader. There was a lot of missing work for two classes. When I got home I went thru a folder of stuff that we had gotten back from the teacher that had been graded. I found two things for one class. So today I emailed the teacher and asked how I could have the graded copy, yet the school records show the work is missing.

She did not apologize, but just said she was glad we had kept the returned work and he needed to re-submitt it for the grade to reflect on school records.

I don't think this is fair. If I would not have had the graded paper, my son would have had to re-do the work to get credit. Does anyone else have this problem? I guess I will have to start keeping everything until the quarter is done and I know he got credit for the work.

Let me know if you have any suggestions on how to handle this situation.

My child attends a charter school where she is being forced into mandatory PE classes held at the Boys and Girls Club which is located in another district. I am opposed to this and the principal said "No exceptions. That is our program, if you don't like it enroll her in another school."
Strange men on the city bus ask her questions and some of the kids at the B&G club are only there to serve probation demands, it is not a safe environment.
Is it legal for her to demand my childs participation?

I am frightened beyond belief! Any who, I just got word that my quarter report card will have a big fat 'B' on it, and I am so super nervous. My teacher said that if we pass the AP exam he'll change our grades at the end of the year to straight A's. I am still scared though. Any words of encouragement to allay my concerns (has this ever happened to you)?
