Next, they will be requiring parents to send there children wraped in plastic bubble wrap, and wearing helmets .do you think they are trying to change our children into wimps?

My school had already "banned" it back when I was in elementary school and that was over 10 years ago. It's nothing new.

I don't believe they're trying to "wimp" out children, but let's face it: Americans are willing to sue over anything. It's better to look like an idiot but keep yourself protected rather than face the poor house because you had to empty your pockets to Jimmy's parents. It's not your fault Jimmy's an idiot, couldn't see the large pole right in front of him, and damaged his fragile little body, but because Jimmy's parents are American and pissed they had to spend a few on him rather than themselves, they have to take it out on someone.

They are protecting themselves from lawsuits from money hungry, sue-happy parents.

This has only been publicized from 2 schools. This is not the case in all schools, but could start a trend.

It is not about making a kid a wimp but rather protecting themselves. Kids can play tag at home and the parents can be responsible for it.
