at least 2-3 hours a week about the history of the United Kingdom as a whole.

I think it would resolve alot of issues that the Scots, the English, the Irish and the Welsh have with each other. Or at least they could dislike each other and be well informed as to why that is.

I know when I was in school we never learned that much about our history between each country.

What do you think?

Ive got exams coming up in 3 weeks and I would like to start studying,the thing is...I dont know how to properly.

Everytime I 'study' it would only be for a few minutes before I get distracted or board. I know my life pretty much rests on these exams.

Today sixth graders are being placed in either middle school are in elementary school. At the middle school, they often change classes four or more times a day. At the elementary level, they might have one teacher in a self-contained classroom. I myself attended a 4-6 intermediate school that emphasized an elementary environment. I had one teacher that taught math, science, and social studies and another teacher that taught reading, writing, and spelling. These teachers team-taught together and I thought it worked pretty well. What do you think about these concepts?

This question goes out to teachers, parents, or students who have been through school. Some school districts put sixth grade in a 6-8 middle school (seems to be the most common now), but some schools place sixth grade in a K-6 elementary school. What do you think is best? Personally, I don't think it matters, but I do think that if they are placed in a middle school it should be a gradual change from a self-contained classroom. For example, sixth graders should have no more than two or three teachers for subjects.

I am student teaching in a class with a girl who bullies others. The parents are no help as they teach their kids to bully (the whole family is like this, this girl is the youngest in the family) and they all like to gang up on people and fight if anyone tries to discipline. What to do?

I do not want to get frustrated with helping my daughter memorize her spelling words. She does fine when she can sound the words out and it sounds the way it is spelled. But with words that don't sound the way they are spelled, that is a problem for her. She spells the words fine at home sometimes, but when she gets to school, she goes blank on some words. Her grades in spelling is not the best, How can I help her. She writes her words five times each every night, we go over the words (spelling the words) every night. I usually give her three words a night to learn to spell at a time. She is trying to use the same technique of spelling words that sound the way they are spelled, which works for some words, but not all. Any suggestions on what I can do, I understand that children learn differently, but I don't know what I should do to help her.
