If, you were going to do a project on him... WHY would you do it? What makes him so special? Other than the fact tht he walked on the moon. I mean, HOW did he influence the wolrd with his choice to become an astronaut? And please don't answer if all if you are going to say that you wouldn't do a project on him.

Every time we have a test in my history class, my history teacher (Mrs. Scott), reads out our name and test score because it's faster than handing them all out, and she tells us to just write it down in this test record thing she gave us.

She also tells us our rank in the class (it comes from a computer thing in the school, based on the percentage so far in that subject). She read mine out today, and out of 32 kids in the class, I came at 26. I find this really embarassing, and I don't like other people knowing what my marks our.

I don't want to tell her because she's really strict and she probley won't be too happy if I told her.

What do I do? I don't want other people knowing my grades anymore.

My daughter is in Kindergarten and she is 5. The teacher suggested that I should look into letting my daughter skip a grade or two. I do not want my daughter to miss out on life's milestones and the great learning foundation that first grade provides. What is the best grade to skip? How about skipping second grade to go on to third? Anyone with experience?

I'm not sure that I know the answer, but whatever it is, it has got to favor the turnip because Freshmen are just DUMB sometimes!!!

Sorry, it was a BAD day with my froshies. Hopefully, tomorrow will be different.

Of course, they're probably wanting to know "what's the difference between a Spanish teacher and a turnip?" ;)

I have a child in kindergarten and just received papers saying they have to be in Title 1 reading which in this school pretty much means "your child is stupid". Does anyone have any suggestions on any local organizations that provide tutoring for kindergarten kids? I'm not looking for anyone online to do, I'm looking for someone like a teacher's aide or something like that. But I have no idea where to call to find someone that might be able to help.

is it ok to like a teacher? ya I always hear "it's ok to like a teacher!" But in my case he's 55 and I'm only 14! is this ok? cause I'm always fanasizing about him! He always talks to me in the halls,in class, near my locker, during recess and during lunch. He's very comical and has a great sense of humor! the otherday he rubbed my back as he was talking to me. Is this normal?

We have found that if you submerse an egg in vinegar, that the calcium will be "eaten" away, leaving a rubber like "egg" behind. The problem is (as a Mom), how do we make this an interesting science project? Would the hypothesis have to do with acidity?
Should they try other substances and if yes, what would be good ones for me to have on hand?

I don't want to sound like I am doing this for my twin 8 year olds, and I expect them to carry out all of the experiments and develope their own theories, but the school has indicated that they could receive some outside help. Where could my kids find the necessary information to do a good job?

Thank you!
