I have a child in kindergarten and just received papers saying they have to be in Title 1 reading which in this school pretty much means "your child is stupid". Does anyone have any suggestions on any local organizations that provide tutoring for kindergarten kids? I'm not looking for anyone online to do, I'm looking for someone like a teacher's aide or something like that. But I have no idea where to call to find someone that might be able to help.

Ok, first of all I did look in the white/yellow pages. Secondly, the internet won't help because she doesn't want me helping her. When I try to help her she just starts playing dumb. Wanting me to give her the answers. Thirdly, her vision is fine, she has been checked before starting school and again at school. And last but not least, this does happen to be the first time it has been brought up or came up. I have already have conversations with the speech teacher, reading teacher, principal, and her classroom teacher.

Talk to your child's teacher because I'm sure this isn't the first time this has come up.

the probabilities of tutoring little youthful ones in French are low because youthful ones don't have summer season college for easy and severe college(except for grades 10, 11, and 12 or CEGEP reckoning on your training gadget). you are able to paintings at Kumon learning center in case you want, yet might want to I advise you are able to try babysitting or possibly do a touch easy jobs comparable to what the 14 year olds did like mowing the backyard or something like that.

Why not try the internet? bobsedulinks have lots of fun things to do that will improve reading. Also try bbc.co.uk and then click on learning. There are lots of really good things to do. Start with pre-school and work your (or your child's) way up. It is important for children to succeed and to enjoy learning so don't get them to do things that are too hard, they will get discouraged and then give up. Perhaps they are better at maths, lots of very intelligent people were late readers, just don't let them feel they are a failure.

Make sure you check your child's vision. When i was little, they said i had problems with reading also, but it turned out i was farsighted. When i told my mom i was having trouble reading it was too late. Make sure it is a real optometrist. But any who, reading to your child and letting them read words back to you also works. This also gives you a chance to read with your child. so its a win win.
