I have a cousin, he is in 8th grade of Middle School or Junior High.

He has excellent grades, straight A's in his report card from 7th grade. And his 8th grade report card too.

I was just wondering what are the benefits to very good students in the United States? T

The school doesn't give him anything about this, absolutely nothing. Not even a small reward.

So what's the point? If a student has a GPA of 4.0 excellent conduct and excellent grades, whats the point of having all this, seing that nobody will him anything, he is mad and frustrating with this situation.

I am now a freshman, taking French 1 as my language. I am aiming for Stanford, which requires 3 yrs of same language. I want to know the following questions:

1)Which is easier French or Spanish? (gramatically, speach and sentence structure)

2) should i take spanish 1 and work on my way to spanish 2 and 3 on my junior and senior year? or should i continue with my french and work on my way to french 3 in my junior year?

My 12 year old has just started secondary. He has forgotten to do a few pieces of homework, but he has done them. He went and Apologised to the teacher for not handing it in on time and gave them the piece he should have done, and on a couple of occassions he had done it, put it in his bag, but told the teacher he had forgot it...he now has detention after school. I saw his form tutor and told him he wouldn't be attending the matter is resolved, but it's not in there eyes, i keep getting stroppy letters home! I am behind him every evening making sure he has the required school stuff for the following day, the adjustment from primary to secondary is huge.

I am doing a clinical at an elementary school and the teacher wants me to teach something over voting (an activity). She gave me a folder of things that she had, but she said she couldn't find anything in it. Not to mention most of it is for younger students. I have to make a lesson plan this weekend and I'm having no luck finding anything. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My son is 5 years old and he is developmentaly delayed, and he is having major problems adjusting in school and daycare by having a lot of crying fits. I am at my wits end, and I don't know what to do. He is very smart and he loves books, but I am scared that he is going to be labled something that he is not. Does anyone have any idea what I can do? I need help my daughter is in the 3rd grade and is having problems with reading and spelling. I was thinking of checking out Hooked on Phonics but not sure if that will be what we need.
