We have fall break, does this seem like a waste of time to you? Why in the world do we have fall break? I personally would rather be in school.

Because schools are still sticking to the old traditions. Summer and Fall break are for harvest seasons. In the "olden days" most people were farmers, so durring the harvest seasons the kids had to stay home and help with bringing in the crop. So many kids had to stay home to help that there was no point in keeping the schools open. Same thing goes for summer break.

Fall break is a time which is meant for you to take a break from school while still having ample time to review material covered till that date in preparation for term assessments. If you do not feel the need to prepare for term assessments then you either have no inclination towards independent study, or u r way too clever for the system... from experience and statistics you are not one of the latter.

Why wouldn't you want a break from school? I always loved a bit of time off. I used to think I would skip fall break for a longer Holiday break...but now, I realize I would like a few shorter breaks than one really long one. There is plenty of days for school....use your time off to do something else that will benefit your life or someone elses. Relax for a day....and volunteer somewhere....that's always greatly appreciated.

Are you sick in the head...is there something wrong up there? When i was in school i loved every chance i got off. If not i was skipping. Enjoy your fall break. Love it all! Because before you know it, you won't be in school anymore
