I think this is a stupid question.

It's a bit like saying "who hates learning to read?" or "who hates learning foreign languages?".

Some Mathematics taught at school is very practical; arithmetic, percentages, substituting in formulas and likely to be useful to almost everyone.

Most, I agree, is unlikely to be of much practical use to, say, a gardener, a plumber, a hairdresser or shopkeeper. and if this reflects your ambition fine. Carry on hatting Maths.

However, those pursuing well paid careers in finance, science, management, business, medicine will need a strong grasp of Mathematics.

Every analytical question is answered mathematically, its importance cannot be understated.

Anyway, if what you said were true I'd be out of work,

Wiseguy is indeed just that..Wise.
I hated math as a child and now 40 years later, I hate it all over again along with my kids but we still have to do it just like I did when I was a kid. See? You DO really use it in real life...lol

I don't hate it...I just hate the fact that they teach us crap that I KNOW I will never use in my life!!! Teach me something that I'm going to use for the rest of my life, not how to graph a ellipse!!!
