Because it would look better on a college application and a better education. I am attending one for all four years of high school. The work is harder than what public school gives you. That's how you can tell you get a better education.

It costs a ridiculous amount of money to attend one, though.

Four reasons:

1. Student doesn't fit into public school.
2. Private school offers a better education.
3. Private school might be a religous school.
4. Prestige, some people (parents) feel that the prestige will give their student a lift.

2. it makes it easier to get into colleges (they have quotas and must take a certain number from private schools)
3. they think public schools are "bad"
4. some public schools are bad
5. they don't like the ethnic mix in the school
6. they can afford to send their kids to the upper level private schools where a solid education is provided

Where I come from private schools give a much better education than public schools. Sad, but true. Its very costly, but when parents want the best for their children, theyll give them the best education.

ome go because they're too clever for mainstream like i was. Im now back in mainstream coz i hated private. Also some parents av 2 much mone and sum wanna get rd of their kids 4 alf the year!

as a parent of 4, i would know that people who send their children to private schools hope to give their children a better education and therefore a better chance at having a good, sucessful and happy life.

Some students don't have a choice, and maybe the schools in that area are really bad.

And parents want their kids to have more individual attention/enhanced learning from their kid's teachers.
