Buy a little "passcards" book for the course you are taking. It contains all the key things you need to know for the exam. Just read through it in the final days before the exam.
If you don't have more than 2 weeks to go then I would say there is nothing better than doing lots of exam style questions.

If you're doing a couple of professional accounting exams like me (CIMA) in a few weeks time, there are CD-Rom interactive study aids which I find excellent and more fun than reading a book. I don't know if they are available for school or university type exams. They propably are. I highly recommend learning on a computer with an interactive software package.

first of all, cramming for a attempt might want to not in any respect be relied on pass a attempt. with a bit of luck you comprehend that. It took me my freshman year of school to confirm that one out. besides, I have tried both techniques and had the suitable luck with going to mattress early and getting up early to study. i'd commence examining the cloth, get drained, visit mattress (as early as 6 PM) awaken at 2 AM and commence interpreting. in spite of the indisputable fact that, i'd in basic terms recommend this for checks that are early contained in the morning. in case your attempt is contained in the afternoon, i'd not sleep a touch overdue and get a classic evening's sleep. The body and recommendations will drag into the afternoon in case you upward push up too early.

Pertinent info on notecards, redo all missed test and quiz ?'s, skim thru projects and essays. I make sure I eat really good quality meals and am in bed no later than 10pm. A poorly nourished and sleep deprived brain cannot retrieve information!

A good nights sleep, study little and often and revise thoughtfully. Make sure you eat well and drink plenty of water. This helps study.
